"My next door neighbor had the same issue and highly recommended this company.  I probably wouldn't have used them if I checked Angies List (given the poor reviews).  So glad I listened to her!  They scheduled within 2 days, stating any time between 9-12 and was willing to with my schedule.  He came at 9:30 am and called 30 min before like I had asked.  Unlike other reviews, I found them extremely professional, helpful and reasonable in cost. The next day while I was out of town, a neighbor called to say that there was a little more than usual amount of water coming out from the side of my house.  Forgive me since I am not savy with these things!  I called on Saturday and received a call back within a few hours.  A friend was able to meet him on Monday at the house and he quickly fixed the problem (no charge!).  I was also able to text the plumber personally and this eased my mind tremendously.

"They were nice guys.  They were hired by the contractor remodeling our bathroom.  I have a complaint against them - they knocked a couple of holes through the bathroom, into the living room.  We had to do the repair ourselves.  The plumbing was fine, but I didn't appreciate the holes in the wall.  I actually complained to the contractor and I don't know if he said anything about it.  I used my plumber for all the other plumbing work in my house.  Once the contractor was through with his little piece, then I got my own plumbing in."

I called their office around 1pm today because I noticed that my water heater was badly corroded and leaking into the safety pan. I chose them because they had good yelp reviews compared to some other companies that do more marketing. The young woman Morgan, that took my call was very professional and told me that someone could come out between 2-5pm. I also called another company, Texas Master Plumber, to get a quote because they were rated highly on Angie's List. Of course, they both show up with 15 mins of each other. Initially, TMP shows up to the wrong house and their secretary calls me to ask why I'm not there. I walk outside and see them halfway down the block. TMP winds up giving me a quote that is $200 more for a less reputable brand water heater than Smart Choice Plumbers. I was also very impressed they wore shoe covers out of respect for my floors and were able to install it the same day. From the time I made the first call to the time they left after completing the installation, it was 4 hours. That is very impressive!! The installation was installed up to the latest plumbing codes and I could tell Carlos was very knowledgeable. It is obvious he enjoys what he does based on his very professional like workmanship.

The crew cleaned up everything and explained the basics of how the new programmable thermostats work.  They tested the heater and restarted it until air was cleared from the gas line and the heater stayed on. A/C operation was verified and was cooling before they left.
I had got 3 estimates on this work; Cucco's was in the middle on price. My decision was based as much on dealing with Chris for repair of my old system, and his professionalism and willingness to explain things and answer my questions.
