Also, my house had ideal conditions for a good radon mitigation outcome - a 4 inch gravel bed under a basement concrete slab with no cracks or other places radon gas could enter from below. Having said that, my radon levels before mitigation averaged 4-6 pCi/L, with occasional peaks to 10-12 pCi/L on some days. After mitigation, the levels have been below 1.0 pCi/L since installation 2 weeks ago. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the result. "What a surprisingly wonderful experience we had with BioClean. I was able to schedule a same day appointment, and Brian and Dennis showed up exactly on time. Both men are absolute professionals, and are extremely honest! Within minutes of entering the home, they measured the air for particulates, and said that it wasn't a high reading at all. They proceeded to test around our home, and also up in the attic where the air handler is. The thought to look in places we never would have thought to look, but they said everything was actually in good condition. We did figure out that there is moisture in the basement coming from what may be a leaky toilet on the main floor - which we never would have known. The took their time, were very thorough, and made no money from us (with the free estimate coupon they posted here on Angie's List). They could have told us anything, and we would have believed it (and probably paid through the nose). But - these guys truly are wonderful, honest, and professional.
