At first I was pleased with the appearance and quality of the windows from the inside, but I did not inspect the outside up close as the windows were all on the second floor. Two months later, in June, when I went to put up my awnings I discovered that the mounting brackets for the awnings had been removed and apparently discarded. As a result, three of my awnings can no longer be used. At that time I also noticed there was a sizeable gap, about three quarters of an inch, between some of the window frames and the house siding. <br /> Subsequently, I returned their written survey indicating my dissatisfaction and requesting that their representative contact me. I never heard from them again. I waited until October 5th and then telephoned their sales rep, Mat Taylor and explained the problem. He said someone would be in touch with me. "The time from acceptance of the estimate to the window installation was roughly 3 weeks as was discussed with us.   Paul and his crew showed up on time, put down floor coverings where needed to protect the floors from traffic and cleaned up after themselves when finished.  There was no sign that they did work in the house except for the new windows.  The windows were caulked inside and out and trim added on the outside to blend the windows in with existing frame and siding.  The doors were a week later due to the longer lead time to get the front door.  Paul had no issues with any add-ons we ended up doing and priced them at a reasonable cost.  The work was well organized, complete and performed to our satisfaction.  I will not hesitate to use PK Windows again for work in my home.  Being a Master Carpenter and seeing the results of his work, I have no doubt that Paul could perform any construction job we might hire him for. <br />"

"From my initial meeting with Phil Coleman,owner, to the installation, everything was very professional. The windows that were installed today (10/31/18) are very high quality (triple pane) and sealing the window system in place was done with great expertise. The new windows open easily and there is a screen on the outside for ventilation. The original windows were in a steel frame embedded in the concrete foundation and the windows were no longer able to close for a tight seal plus some of the window panes were cracked. Our basement will be much warmer now. I had trouble finding a company that would do this small job but Phil said no job is too small for them. I would highly recommend this company-they do big jobs and small jobs. Phil presented copies of several reference letters that were very impressive."

I was thankful that they took care to replace any rotten wood and install better venting to reduce moisture in the attic. Finally, they left the property cleaner than when they arrived. I was astonished at the care the crew took to clean up before departing. As for pricing, Keith was responsive when I requested an estimate and the price was the more competitive than another vendor."

"Exteriors of CT recently replaced the 40-year-old windows in our colonial home. It’s difficult to imagine someone tearing out over twenty sash windows, two large picture windows, a kitchen window, and a French door without ruining the siding, destroying the interior trim, and generally making a mess of things. Not a lick of wood, hardware, or any material remained on site when they finished. The crew applied their many years of experience to the project, setting the new windows, insulating, and then silicone caulking. Really, for the multiple quotes I received, this project was so reasonable my spouse took me to Block Island on the savings. Great work. Fair price. Mostly, though, we felt cared for during the job. They know what they’re doing and they are kind in their work. Recommend without hesitation."
