"Arrived at house within 3 hours of calling them which is what I needed. I've used them 4-5 times in past 2 or 3 years. They are the only ones that can come out same day as calling them and usually within a few hours. Because of that their price is probably a little higher than others but when it's an emergency it's worth it. Just like the Emergency room is more than the walk in clinic."

"A service man came to assess the situation and provide a quote with various options. He took time to explain various options in different price ranges. We decided to go ahead and replace our furnace and upgrade our air conditioning unit at the same time. We were interested in an energy saving option, which they showed us several options. The workmen arrived at the designated time and day and got the air conditioning running by the end of the first day, since the weather was hot. We appreciated their thoughtfulness. They then completed the furnace installation the second day. One of the service men took time to show me everything they had completed, including how to clean the overflow valve with the brush provided. He left a booklet with written instructions and phone numbers in case we had questions or concerns. While this was an expensive upgrade to our heating and cooling needs, we felt we received quality service and honest input into our decisions. We were very happy with the professional work. The cleaned up the mess they made in the basement and took the cardboard boxes from the new equipment, as well as the old furnace, for recycling. <br />"

"I called on a Tuesday and tgey were able to send a guy out the same day. By Wednesday evening, my gas was turned back on. He replaced all the old shutoff valves to bring them up to code. He found several leaks and replaced pipes and unions until the system was able to pass a pressure test. He cleaned up any mess that was made and left me with piece of mind that the house was free of all gas leaks."

FAQs for gas piping projects in New Paris, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
