"Apex Plumbing is fantastic! I had a leak in my front yard and called them, and they scheduled someone to come out the very next morning. The technician arrived on time, was professional, and incredibly easy to work with. They located the leak immediately, and the pricing was definitely worth every penny considering the amount of work involved. I’ll absolutely continue using Apex Plumbing and have already recommended them to several friends. Thank you to Joe, Mike, and Bobby for your excellent service!"

"Outstanding. Our technician (Tommy) arrived earlier than scheduled (called to make sure we were available). He was very professional and was able to diagnose the location of the leak very quickly. The fix required him to dig a 2'x2' hole in our front yard near the sidewalk and he made the repair. I was very impressed with how he explained the fix needed and how well the yard looked after he was finished. I will definitely be using Total Plumbing again in the future."

"I am very pleased with the look and functionality of our new gutters.  Trint who is the estimator/installer showed up on time to provide me with an estimate.  He also included fixing two super gutter end caps that had broken on the gutters for our lanai.  The other company who I received an estimate from would not even provide an estimate on that .   <br /> On install day Trint showed up with his helper and they installed all the gutters, end caps, and Shur-Flo gutter guard.  They worked quickly and carefully around some newly installed landscaping.  They completed the entire job in less than 3 hours.   <br /> I waited to write this review until it rained so I could make sure there were no issues.  Yesterday it poured and all the gutters worked perfectly.  I am very happy with American Custom Guttering and would definitely use again. <br /> <br />"

"I called The Drain Team at 1:00PM on a Saturday afternoon and was told that they would try to get someone to me that afternoon. When no technician was available, I received two phone calls from John in the office informing me of the status. At 5:00 PM I was informed that no one was available that day and they would get to me after church on Sunday, I called to let them know that I was now home and within two hours they had a technician at my home. Chris set out replacing the faulty faucet and did a great job cleaning the old sealant from the sink and installing the new fixture. After the installation Chris checked all connections for leaks and cleaned the up the residue from the installation, He finished in about one hour. Very happy with the job done and the professionalism of The Drain Team."

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in New Port Richey, FL

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
