"They were responsive, professional, and actually show up when they said! This was a complex restoration, and R&R had to coordinate with the cabinet makers, countertop installers, and other subs during the almost 4-month job. There were a few hiccups of course, as any large job is sure to have, but Rob and his crew were always fast to make things right without any griping. We were very satisfied."

"A kitchen remodel is a major over-haul project.  Gutting the original tile floor prior to replace it with new tile is a long process.  Brewer did their best to maintain a schedule that got us through this inconvenience as effortlessly as possible.  They were very concientious about taping off the areas not being reomodeled to eliminate as much construction dirt as possible.  They were careful not to damage other parts of the kitchen.  The installation went well and the installer did an excellent job and made our new floor look fantastic.  The same person installed the backsplash and it turned out great too.  I have used Brewer previously for a carpet installation, so that is why I called them back for this job.  Once again, I was very pleased with the end results and I would call them back whenever we have additional flooring needs."

"The results were decent, but I can't say they were better than that.  No specific or grievous complaints.  The carpet was good, but past cleanings have left it in better shape, even taking into consideration additional age for this latest cleaning.

"They were dependable and professional while they were at the house. They are very quick to respond as we had some problems with the chimney after the work was done, and they came right out to repair it. We are happy with the work and the results. I would use this company again in the future."

"

Indiana Restoration cleaned the carpets in our home.   There was a lot of white carpet that had not been cleaned in many years and they took their timeto make sure it all came clean.  They were very professional and accommodating to our needs.  We were very happy with the job IR did on our carpets!!

"Amazing! John and Mauro did a fantastic job with my home. The project consisted of remodeling a Kitchen, entryway, living room and dining room, moving walls, taking walls down, making the kitchen and entryway larger, painting, installing new cabinets, new tile floors, tile backs plash, custom lighting throughout, refinishing wood floors and more. They essentially did a complete remodel of 1/3, maybe  more of my home. The transformation was nothing short of incredible. I will post before and after pictures soon. Thanks Again!

"My home is not very old by home standards, so upgrading windows wasn't a high priority after only 7 years after construction. I had HVAC techs up in the rafters saying the air conditioner is fine and the airflow is fine, but I just couldn't get the house to moderate the temperature. After a visit by Steve Butner, I learned how inexpensive and how little my windows were holding in the heated air in the winter and keeping out the non-conditioned air in the summer. So after two visits (4 windows in June and 6 in August) by Matt, Energy Secure Solution's window and door installer, I have 10 new windows in my second story bedrooms and staircase. Matt was great! He is courteous, punctual, diligent in his work and tireless in the installation process. He worked well by himself, sealed every side of each window he placed, and finished by cleaning up every scrap of metal or can of foam sealant/insulation he used. My wife and I noticed immediately a positive change in the airflow from the vents and then of course a change in the temperature upstairs. I have never heard my older son say he was cold, and he asked me if I could turn the air down because it was too cold in his room! Wow! I was impressed. I noticed my a/c unit works shorter cycles and cools more quickly than before. I am looking forward to a warmer winter, without a steady flow of cold air rolling down my staircase. It was so drafty that I could hold a lit match at the bottom of the stairs and the cold airflow would blow out the match! I am very excited by these high quality windows for so many reasons, not the least of which is how quickly, easily and efficiently they went in! Steve follows up with a check on the installation to verify the work is done to the specifications of Pinnacle Industries. The payment process is simple. Energy Secure Solutions will work with every budget, large or small, at the pace of the buyer. I would suggest that when buying windows, one considers the time it takes to measure, manufacture and deliver the windows (several weeks to a month), then install (another week or two for scheduling). I had Steve out in April, ordered in May/July, installed in June/August. My expectations were met on every level!"

"Jim Kernodle, my salesman made a lot of promises which appear to be all lies. He promised to deliver a projector for the home theatre system, which he never did. He said when he finished the basement it would look like the main floor, but I had to pay the painters to get all dry walls painted. The salesman also said he had a five start rating on Angie's List, which was a total lie. He promised they would create a furnace return in the basement so it would suck cooler air in and make the upstairs much cooler, but the contractor said he never does that in basements. They started the work in July. A week later they started not to show or to only show up for a half an hour. The last day the company came was August 14th. They have not been back to finish the work. The projector is refurbished, not new. It's a cheap projector. They took the projector back and were supposed to get a new one for me and they never did. They also did not deliver speakers for the theatre system, a shower door after they installed our shower, they never gave me the credit on the toilet that I purchased. I changed the layout, and they said it wouldn't be a problem when I signed the contract. Now it is a problem. I just called the manager and he said they were not going to deliver the correct projector at all. They didn't mention the times in the past three weeks I spoke with them. They don't want to deliver a shower door and they still owe me a $100 credit for the toilet I purchased. In fact, problem with Nusash started with day 1. On July 2, they started to deliver drywall. They asked me to open basement window so they could bring the drywall in. They broke the security tab on window and never fixed it. The last work they had done in my basement was on 8/14. Since then I called the manager, Joe McKee, several times, and he either did not answer or, the only time he answered he said will take care of it. More than three weeks had passed and nothing had been done. I mentioned the missing parts (projector, shower door, speakers, broken window security tap) every time I called him, until today, 9/8, he told he could not honor all these. Update 4/5/10: The original Nu-Sash under Jim Kernodle and Joe Mckee was the reason I gave all F ratings. Since them, Rick Myer has taken over the management. He is a completely different person than the other two. He does care about my feedback. He made several trips to my home to take care of the dispute list until I am completely satisfied. Just recently the vent cover fell off and I called him. He dropped by my house and got that taken care of. I like his personality and I definitely recommend Nu-Sash Basement Remodeling under Rick Myer."

FAQs for carpet repair, refasten, or stretch projects in New-richmond, IN

Removing a rug costs around $0.40 to $0.50 per square foot. This includes the fee for a contractor to roll up the rug and haul it away in a vehicle for disposal or recycling. If they need to move furniture, they might charge an additional $0.25 to $0.30 per square foot of furniture.

If your carpet has minor damage—like a single area that requires stretching, patching, or cleaning—it might be less expensive to pay for carpet repair than remove and replace it. Repairing carpet costs around $210 per project.

The cost of carpet cleaning is about $190 for a three-bedroom home, so it’s a good idea to have your carpet cleaned at least once a year. But most carpeting only lasts 10 years. If your carpet is nearing the end of its life span, it might be more cost-effective to remove and replace your carpet than to clean and repair it. The average cost to install a new carpet is about $1,800.

Search our directory of carpet removal companies and services to find an affordable, screened contractor near you. All HomeAdvisor listings are vetted, reviewed, and rated by homeowners, so you can be sure to find a local pro qualified for your project. Get at least three quotes to compare prices and the timeline for your project.

Commercial carpet removal usually costs on the lower end of the carpet removal price range, around $1.10 per square foot or even less. Carpet installation contractors often offer discounted rates for larger projects, like commercial carpet removal and installation. Similarly, you might be able to negotiate a lower residential carpet removal cost if the carpet is pulled up throughout your entire home.

Most cities accept old carpets as bulk trash, but you may need to schedule a special pickup and prepare the carpet properly. Remove any nails or glue residue, cut the carpet into manageable pieces, and roll and secure them. Alternatively, you can take your old carpet to a local recycling center for a small fee, where it can be processed and repurposed.

Yes, you can remove carpet yourself if you're ready for a labor-intensive task. DIY carpet removal requires heavy lifting and tools like utility knives, pliers, and pry bars. The process is generally straightforward but time-consuming for stapled-down carpet. If your carpet is glued down or you're worried about damaging the subfloor, hiring a professional is best to ensure the job is done safely and efficiently.
