"The biggest obstacle was scheduling.  The Angie's List confirmation email did not include the instruction to schedule on the Flow-Rite web site.  It took 3 or 4 emails to clarify that which delayed getting the work scheduled.
The replacement parts worked fine with the exception of some excess plastic on the valve which prevented a tight seal and thus lead to a running toilet.  It took a few minutes with the razor blade to cut the excess off and allowed the seal to form properly.  This probably should have been done by the installer.

"Whoever Nick sends to work at our house has always figured out what needed doing (and not more) and been able to get it done quickly, surely and cleanly. In this case we had just at our water main changed which cause sediment to clog fixtures and kill water pressure. Chris gave us the good news that a replacement fixture and part was all that stood between us and square one----and he fit us in the next day so that we could go out and buy the kitchen faucet we needed."

"Eric has done multiple tasks for me. He did two bathroom remodels for me at a prior location for which I’ve left reviews. I’m just mentioning it again as I sold that condo and a big factor for getting it sold were the beautiful baths. I moved into a new build recently and had Eric complete some changes including an oversized closet in the utility room which was a wasted space. I asked Eric to install shelves to convert to an additional pantry. As usual he was very detailed and particular as how to complete. We discussed wood vs wire shelves and Eric gave me the pros and cons. Once we decided upon wood shelves Eric was frustrated in finding good wood to install. I so appreciate that he was particular in making sure I had proper and long lasting shelving. He was able to add side shelves that I never contemplated, taking full advantage of the space. They are so awesome. His in-depth knowledge and expertise of home maintenance and remodel never ceases to surprise me. He’s very thorough and particular with the materials and brands he chooses as well as being picky with his own work and in turn that is gratifying to know a job is well done and lasting. I can’t recommend Eric enough."

"Jason and his crew were professional, punctual, worked quickly and did a great job! I noticed that some additional touch-ups were done that were not even part of the original quote."

"The septic tank was pumped satisfactorily. The problem we had was that our gate and latching mechanism were damage by his employee doing the work. We were told that the gate was damaged. We called Mr Andrews after we discovered that gate was damaged. Mr Andrews told me that his employees were independent contractors and were responsible for any damages that occur. Mr Andrews asked me to send him pictures and a description of the damage. He said he would have his independent contractor contact me to resolve the issue. To date we have not heard from his independent contractor or Mr Andrews to resolve the issue The company does a good pumping your septic tank but doesn't take care of any damages that they cause. "I am very happy with the quality of service I received. there were a few small projects and two large projects. the owner arrived early with a good group of employees and went right to work. well organized and the employees seem eager to work hard. i threw in some last minutes ideas and the owner added them at minimal upcharge since everyone was already there. clean communication and very fair billing. been a month now and we could not be happier and will be calling again soon for some other projects"

"I needed a plumber to repair a leaking water main where it enters my house in the basement. The leak was on the outside of the foundation. Joe Lay Plumbers sent someone out to look at the problem and provide an estimate. They correctly diagnosed the problem and gave me a very reasonable estimate. The repair required digging four feet of fill on the outside my house’s foundation and replacing a section of leaking pipe. The problem was caused by a poor original installation. We agreed on a date for the repair and Joe Lay had two plumbers perform the work. They arrived on time and completed the job quickly and competently. I was satisfied with the work, the plumbers and the price. I will use them for any future plumbing needs."
