"This company was extremely efficient from the secretary who answered the phone to the dispatch of a person named Jeremy the next morning who arrived on time as scheduled. I was requesting an estimate to replace my main water line because I had no water pressure. Jeremy quickly assessed my problem and suggested we bypass my 24 yr. old water softener. When we did that I had all the pressure I needed. A reasonable diagnosis fee was less than $3,000.00 to replace a water line. I would recommend this company to anyone."

"Andy was right on time, new what to do to address the issues and went right to work. He finished in a very quick time and I could not be more pleased. He does have odd hours, so you will have to work those out but he is by far the best I have ever had since I have lived here. He repaired the flubs that the recommended contractor from Menards left behind. We couldn't even use our new shower after having it installed by the first guy. He had it fixed and back together in less than an hour. He fixed the leaking water softener in about 15 minutes. The cost of everything was much less than I anticipated. Give Andy a call. I promise you won't regret it."

"Expensive. Charged $50 to quote a water heater replacement and wouldn't provide any indication of pricing over the phone. More than twice as much as other options. Don't pay them $50 to give you a quote - there are better options."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Newton, KS

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
