"We replaced 8 basement windows with glass block (a few with vents) and the process was GREAT! Tyson Williams and Anthony were our two installers and they were prompt, professional, very courteous, and friendly. They got all the work done, with clean up within 4 hours! We LOVE the new windows and SO glad we chose Glass Block Headquarters as our vendor. I would highly recommend them! Great product, amazing team, and outstanding customer service! Thanks team!"

"First of all, their original estimate was good, they never tried to go back and change it. Their price was very fair considering the factors like size of the roof and the height at which they were working (this home is a very old home near the University with 3 stories. The top of the roof is quite high off the ground.) I was disappointed though that they don't work on Saturdays. There was a break in the weather during which I thought my roof should have been done. I gave them the first half payment on 2/22 and they came and just replaced bad wood and kind of sealed it up. No real communication about this, as I assumed they were going to be working Saturday and Sunday since it was nice. But they are the professionals for a reason; if they had worked during that time and then ran into the problems we did, it would have been a mess. That break in the weather didn't last long enough and they would have been scrambling in the snow to try and finish. They came back on 2/28 to finish everything off. They didn't call me to let me know though, or else I would have been there to meet them with some coffee and donuts. Anyway, I wasn't there for it but happened to know that they were there because I was at the house for the electrician. Next day, the front porch situation arose and they were ready for it. Basically, the middle beam that supported the porch was not mounted correctly and rotted out. They put in a very sturdy new beam and put new wood in the porch roof. I paid more obviously, but they had the resources to do it at a reasonable price. I appreciated that they called me with a plan. They couldn't give me an exact price for it, but they said they would try to make it reasonable, which they did considering the amount of labor and materials. On the last day I bought them all pizza, I hope they appreciated it because I appreciated their work. Very clean and professional overall, the crew was very conscientious about clean up and keeping the area nice . I would recommend them for an efficient process and painless transaction. I gave them the second half of the payment, plus the other work that was charged for time and materials."

"<br /> <br /> The glass block window looks great. They were efficient, fast, polite and courteous. They were also very flexible with scheduling with the weather and around my schedule as well. They initially came out and gave me an estimate and after the window was installed, the price was exactly the same as the original estimate. They were able to provide the best price and estimate out of any company I was in contact with."

"Joe Hardy and the Roofsmith Team did a fantastic job. Joe worked closely with Allstate to get them to replace the roof when they only wanted to do a partial repair. Great customer service, and I was amazed that they were able to complete the roof in 1 day!!! Highly recommend!"

"We recently had our siding done by Gunner Roofing and can’t say enough good things. We had our consultation with Andrew and he was honest, not pushy, and even enthusiastic about the project. He was patient and answered multiple rounds of questions to make us feel as comfortable and secure as possible. When we decided to give the siding project to them, they worked with us step by step. We received line item details, mock ups, and were even able to get their own personal/professional input on decisions. Andrew and Joe Massari went over the project with us multiple times to make sure we were comfortable. They stayed professional, reliable, and communicative during the whole process. Our Project Manager, Conor, kept open lines of communication and was honest about timelines, materials, etc.; nothing during this project was a surprise. Gabriel and his crew did absolutely amazing work, they were meticulous, precise, and clean. The whole team really took an out of box idea and delivered on it at 100%. I’m truly so lucky to have found this group and have already spoken to them about future projects. Scope of work: full Hardie siding (Hardie Panel vertical siding), window install, gutter replacement, front door install. Team: Andrew Prchal (Ops Mgr.), Joe Massari, Conor (Project Manager), Gabriel & crew."

"The porch was to replace the old existing walkout and stairs to my backyard that had rotted.  They had to tie the new work into an existing older home and make it look natural.  They just "nailed" it.  Great work and they were done in 5 hours.  Last year they did a complete reroof on my house, beautiful job and excellent clean up.  Also their workers are genuinely nice guys.  Highly recommend."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Niles, OH

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
