"The company did an excellent job of removing the mold and keeping it contained until it was gone. They also restored the house back to it's original condition. The workers were friendly and professional"

"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"Reliance sent Demetrius who surveyed the structural issues (holes and rotted wood in soffits and roof) so I could have those repaired and closed up. He put down bait to eliminate the rats so the problem is solved. Very professional, very thorough. Still under contract for a year so if problem returns they will take care of it. Still using them!"

"Been here in this house for 20 years and never had ducts cleaned.  House is about 70 years old and ducts in attic were added to provide A/C.  Furnace is used for heat.  Parts of the insulation surrounding the ducts were rotting, so wasn't sure what was needed to get the job done.  When the guys came they inspected everything, found that it was going to be a bit tricky to get the job done, and spent time analyzing how they'd go about it.  Once they decided on the plan they worked for about 2 hours or more and did an excellent job of doing what could be done that day.  They returned several days later and replaced the air filtration system which was extremely difficult to get to with one that is readily accessible.  These men knew their job and did it in an extremely professional way!  I will most definitely recommend them to my friends and if you are reading this I hope you decide to use them!! <br />"

"They had this machine that they bring that sucks all of the dust and wood particles and dust out of the ai so your house doesn't get all messed up. They were fast and efficient. We loved it. The price was good. We would use them again. I plan on calling them. We are going to rip out the living room rug and do the same thing. They also took away my old rug. Which they didn't even tear out. I tore out the rug, rolled it up and put it beside the house. They took it away for me. I thought that was a plus too."

"The report was very professional and detailed. The response was fast. The price was expensive but due to the detail, understandable. I wouldn't hire again due to multiple requests for a completed report and estimate for the mold remediation and just getting robotic replies that didn't answer my questions."

"Absolutely wonderful!! I showed up approximately 5 min before scheduled time and the Inspector was already in the house getting to work before I arrived. He was very knowledgeable on the ins and out of home building and even took time to answer questions in regards to things that were not in the scope of the job. He saw 2 minor things that needed fixing and explained why. He took pictures of items even though nothing was wrong for my future use. I will absolutey use in the future and recommend to friends."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Norfolk, VA

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
