"Steven was absolutely awesome. He had great ideas on updating the look of the hose without breaking the bank. His crew was very responsive. Had an issue with the guys covering the dryer vent and they fixed it promptly. Steven helped me pick paint choices and when I wanted to add more painting on some additional trim - he agreed it was a good idea and just sent the painters over - no hassle. We also had a garage door replaced, added features to back and front porch, had a window removed, replaced guttering around the house and resided/ painted the whole house and trim. I think you will be really happy with the product and can’t beat the service."

"We ordered 2 windows on May 4th (Saturday) the order was officially dated May 6th (Monday). I understand dating the order for the following week on a Saturday. We were told (and the contract states 6-8 weeks) that the windows would be in the last week of June. The salesperson verified that the windows would be in no later than the last week in June. I checked with Thermal Windows about 5 weeks into the order to verify that everything was fine and the windows would arrive when promised, the answer was yes everything was fine with the order. But - it ended up taking almost 11 weeks to get two fairly standard-size windows. This delay pushed the entire project off and meant having to reschedule contractors and then having to wait until they were available again to complete the work. We are replacing a set of doors with windows so it is not as simple as taking one out and putting another in an existing space. There is framing, sheathing, brickwork, etc. Brian (not sure of his title) drove to Tulsa(?) to the plant and picked up our windows, after he arranged a time for us to pick up the windows he called my husband back after he realized he would drive right by us on the way back from Tulsa and offered to deliver the windows. My husband was happy with the delivery and windows. The windows themselves look good and appear to have good quality but the customer service side of the company leaves a lot to be desired. Mixed messages from different staffers, being told our windows were not on the truck and would have to wait another three weeks for the next delivery, etc. When it finally got to Brian he took care of the issue to the best of his ability. The company needs more than one person who can answer questions accurately and needs to implement a better order tracking and information system. A folder on a desk is not an efficient method for order tracking."

"I recently had 19 windows replaced in an older home. They had originally estimated a two day install. They arrived early and had the whole house shored up in one day! Their work was impeccable and they were very professional. I was amazed at how quickly and methodically they worked. All in all, I am very pleased with the results and would highly recommend this company!"

"We just had Salute Exteriors update the siding and trim on our house. Clifton and his crew did a great job and we are very happy with the results. Their attention to details was impressive. We met Clifton at the January OKC home and garden show where we discussed some issues with our current siding. We replaced our siding around 11 years ago with a fiber cement-type material (but not James Hardie) with the expectation it would last many years. Unfortunately, the installation was not done correctly and overtime we had problems with the panels chipping and loosening. So much so we could hear panels rattle on really windy days. Clifton came out, inspected our siding and discussed some of the problems he saw with the original installation. He explained how James Hardie siding and trim should be installed and how the installation method would be an improvement over what had been previously done. He also showed me a house he had completed recently so that I could see the differences for myself. He did all this without us feeling pressure from him to use his services. We contracted with Salute Exteriors on January 27 and the job was completed March 22. It was a very efficient process and Clifton kept us informed of the start date/progress/timing etc. along the way. As part of the installation, the crew rebuilt our chimney and added substrate in areas where it was missing (something else we found out after the old siding was removed and helped explain the loose panels). We would highly recommend Clifton and his company. We appreciate the quality of work and attention to detail they provided when installing the new siding/trim as well as when painting our house."

"I’m still waiting for them to fix a manufacturing problem. Ordered the windows in February 2018, they came out to install them in April (long wait but expected). They delayed installing the two largest windows because I pointed out to them the arch windows above the main windows didn’t have the ordered mutton bars in them (they hadn’t noticed the error). They were back out two weeks later and installed the correct arch windows and the two large picture windows. However now it was obvious that the mutton bars on the two large single hung side windows they installed earlier didn’t line up with the new large picture window they had just installed. They sent their installation manager out to remeasure the bars and said they would get back with me. Every conversation with them since has been at my initiation. Their follow up and communication is almost nil. Their manufacturing quality control is obviously non-existent and customer concern very poor. I went with Thermal Windows because they were an integrated Oklahoma company with a long track record that handled both manufacturing and installation. This was my second attempt at replacement windows on this house (the first replacement windows failed within eight years, manufacturing company (TRACO) - out of business, and selling/installation company (Windsor Door) wouldn’t stand behind the product they had previously sold me). I absolutely have no confidence now in Thermal Windows either. I can only say “buyer beware” when it comes to replacement windows."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Norman, OK

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
