"They serviced my central air conditioning and forced hot air (gas) for the cheapest out of three quotes I received. The tech was super professional and knowledgeable. They gave an awesome report at the end. Would use again for sure!"

"It was really good.  We felt like he was very professional.  He came and fixed a problem we had with the furnace.  He came back to make sure everything was working fine.  He said not to hesitate to call him if there are any further problems and said if there are, he would come back and fix it.  He is very efficient.  Right now, he has one other gentleman that works with him.  When we talked with him to install a gas fireplace, it was too expensive, so he found us something that was much less expensive and installed everything for us.  He made sure everything was secure.  He was here when the gas folks came to connect the hoses.  His prices are reasonable.  He charges per hour and the materials on the gas fireplace was much lesser than another person I had out here was promoting.  The total price included the materials, the fireplace and installation."

"Eddie was prompt, efficient and fair. He analyzed the problem, fixed the problem, and gave a clear explanation of what the problem was and how to deal with it should a similar situation arise in the future. His charge was reasonable. I will definitely call him again when I have plumbing or heating problems in the future. <br />"

"I called first thing in the morning since the clog happened the night before. The scheduler was very pleasant and sent someone out within 45 minutes. When the plumber arrived, he put covers on his shoes so as not to dirty the floors, which is always impressive. He diagnosed the problem and said he'd need to snake it with the electric snake. He also had to cut into the pipe under the sink since there was no nearby trap. He was very professional and courteous, explaining what he was doing and then, after writing up the bill, explaining the charges. I would definitely use them again, but hopefully won't need them for any more clogged drains! <br />"

"<p>Gelinas was the only burner cleaner out of the 7 contractors I contacted on Angie's to respond. He got back to me that day.</p> <p>When I told them I had no heat they were able to bump me up in their schedule. The price was competitive, the technician called ahead of time and we met at my house. The work was done quickly, I no longer have fumes in the house, and he was friendly with the dogs.</p> <p>I recommend this company.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in North Berwick, ME

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
