AIP completely restructured a fairly small existing bathroom into an ADA-compliant bathroom with roll-in shower stall that is beyond what we had even thought possible. They had knowledge of and experience with specs and features that would be necessary for someone in our family’s situation - many of them details we didn’t even realize we had to consider. "I had James do remodeling in my bathrooms last year. While he is very forgetful and unorganized the work overall went OK. The labor cost was agreed in advance and was very reasonable, in fact I even paid him more than he asked. Based on this experience I hired him to do few windows this year. Not so well this time. He ordered the windows in 1st of March. I insisted to go to Home Depot together to make sure the order would come out right as there is number of options to choose from. He went alone regardless. The order went wrong in number of ways and I ended up with windows I do not like and do not match with other new windows in the house, and on top of that, cost more money. He took no responsibility for it. The windows were ready to install in April. He kept taking other jobs one after another while I was patiently waiting. After number of phone calls and emails he finally came to do the job in August. I paid him fully when the job was ALMOST DONE in August. It took another two months and several phone calls and emails to get everything finished. The labor cost: He charged by the hour. It took him twice as long to do the work as another carpenter who had done equivalent work in other windows. His first bill was $1200 for two windows, installation only. When I was outraged he gave me “discount” and charged “only” $960 but said he will charge the normal fee in the remaining windows that needed yet to be done. I hired another well rated contractor from Angies List. The job was done promptly in timely manner, for almost half the time and cost."

"Home Pros came into the project after the design was complete and the initial contractor and I had parted ways. Randy (owner) was very responsive and his crew started the demolition quickly. When it turned out that the cabinets, that had been ordered by the independent designer (not Home Pros), had the wrong finish, Randy was very patient and flexible, doing as much as possible prior to the correct cabinet doors/panels arriving a month or so later. His carpenter John Lyons, and his assistant Danielle were very detailed oriented, and actually reconfigured my island to use one slab of granite and allow for 4 seats, which I greatly appreciated. They also did a great job glazing installed pieces of the kitchen to match the newly arrived pieces with the correct finish. The electrician, Fergal McClelland, was wonderful. He was incredibly efficient and had great advice. I was also very impressed when Randy immediately hired a new plumber once issues arose with the initial plumber in order to get the job done right and on time. Home Pros did a great job and I especially appreciated their focus on customer satisfaction every step of the way. I am very pleased with the end result and would definitely recommend (and have) Home Pros for any remodeling/construction projects."

"I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."
