"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

Small jobs welcome

"I recently had the pleasure of working with an appliance repair technician who fixed my refrigerator. He replaced the compressor and did an excellent job. Not only that, but he also provided a 90-day warranty for the repair, which gave me peace of mind. The entire process took 5 days, and I was impressed with his professionalism and efficiency. I highly recommend this technician for anyone in need of appliance repairs."

"Highly recommend Home Squad! From our first interaction they made me feel like we were already a valued customer. We didn’t have a huge job, but they were professional nonetheless. I called them for an error code on our LG dryer and the tech was able to come out and get the issue resolved, as well as let us know about the things we could do to get not only our dryer, but all of our appliances maintained."

"Very smoothly. First contact with Julie setting up appointment set the tone. Proactively asked for pictures to gave parts required. Vladimir called 24 hours later to check in with me as I was at work-with review his recommendations. Price was very reasonable in comparison to other plumbers. Having moved to this area recently I have been surprised with the general attitude of many potential contact service companies. The service provided by AWP was a significant contrast. There is a good chance we might build a home and I have no doubt that we will call Vladimir."

"Alex was a hardworking, knowledgeable worker who was a pleasure to deal with. He handled everything on my list, dealing with issues as they came up, or offering suggestions/guidance. He completed everything within the estimated time and seemed to perform high quality work.
The B's on quality and professionalism are only because of some messiness during and after the work. But when paying by the hour, I'd rather handle the cleanup on my own time anyway.
I'd definitely use this company again in the future--especially if Alex is still working with them.

"Lee and his crew dug in quickly and completed the job on budget. There were several times we needed to discuss my vision and what was most economical. We were always able to arrive at the best compromise that added value to the remodel and allowed the job to advance quickly. I have no reservations on using Lee Smith again for changes and repairs."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"We liked the designer assigned to us, Georgia. We finalized the design towards the end of January and later got a work date in July. There were good selection of materials that did not cost more than what was included in the quote. An engineer came over to inspect whether we could tear down the big wall in the kitchen prior to providing us a quote. The work crew, including the project manger, Brindon, were all polite and did a good job. Everything went well and on schedule until the last day: it was appliance installation day and nobody from Kitchen Plus was around. Brindon did tell us the day before that he would not come the following day and we did the walkthrough. We got the impression that this is quite the standard and went along with it. Who knew that the installation would bring up problems?! The pro installers, Elkay Services, came to install the fridge, steam oven, range, vent hood and microwave. We stayed upstairs to be out of their way. After about a couple hours we noticed that it's been quiet and went downstairs to check out the kitchen and hear what they would have to say, if any. To our surprise they were actually gone and didn't say anything nor left a note. Only the fridge and vent hood were installed and the rest were left in the kitchen. We had no idea why/what happened. The hardwood floors were scheduled for staining work the following day, so we didn't know what to do with the range as it was just in the middle of the kitchen. We called Kitchen Plus and they tried to sort it out. They sent their installations manager, Elliott, the next day to deal with it as we had to leave while the hardwood floors get stained (read: fumes). We learned that the electrician (provided by Kitchen Plus) kind of messed up the outlet for the range as well as that for the steam oven; and the microwave that we were told to purchase didn't actually fit in the slot they made for it. There were a few other minor hiccups that came up but most were fixed quickly. Last day of project was August 17th, if I'm not mistaken. It's already mid-October and sadly and unfortunately, the kitchen still is not completely finished. Still awaiting fix for the stand mixer storage (scheduled for next Monday) and we have yet to find out what trips out the microwave outlet often (work date TBD). We made a big mistake of paying it off when their man, Warren, came over two weeks ago to fix the stand mixer storage (NOT fixed yet). My husband thought it would make them speed it up and finish the project already. We shall see if the mixer storage really will be fixed on Monday, Oct. 17th, and when the microwave outlet will be repaired. I feel we should've followed our neighbor's advice to hold on to the balance and deduct $ for every day the problem doesn't get fixed. All in all, I'd say we still had a good to fair experience working with Kitchen Plus. I should note, however, that we wished there was some follow-up on their end after the last day of the project to also check how we liked it and/or if there was any problem. We felt this would've helped end it on a positive note and not make us feel like we just keep bothering them with these little things that need fixed. Would we use them again though? Yes, but will make sure their project manager is here until everything is fully completed, and recommend you do the same. It was a mistake on their part to pull out all of their crew when there were still work to be done the next two days, not directly by Kitchen Plus, but their subcontractors. Somebody should've been present to oversee it all."

"Amazing. While the project was one room it was an extensive repair as the building's plumbing was in disrepair and leaking between floors. We tried a contractor (not through Angie's list) a year ago and they approached it superficially and within months we had issues again. Brian was honest from the start laying out the scope of the work as well as the possible extended time frame given multiple inspectors and shortened working hours (due to condo restrictions.) While his bid wasn't the lowest it seemed on track with our understanding on the scope of the work so that put us on a solid peer-to-peer level. A lower bid felt like a bait-and-switch while the higher bid seemed based too much on guessing. Brian's bid was solid and thorough and in the end we came in under budget. The demo process was as expected - a lot of dust and grime but they went to great lengths to protect our house and clean up as they went. Every request we made to them was both listened to and acted on - more than anything this went a long way to keeping us calm while our master bathroom was reduced to studs. The plumbers were great and the inspections went off without a hitch. Putting it all back together, while time consuming, fell together perfectly. We can't say enough good things about the tile and electrical contractors that were involved as well. Everyone seemed to truly listen to our concerns and address any questions we had easily. On that note our building manager (we have 120 units) was thrilled with the communication and conscientiousness exhibited by everyone associated with the project. Even the painter Brian recommended made sure everything was perfect even going so far as to painting one door three times to get it right (without charging for the additional attempts to match.) While it was a long process and certainly with some of the clich? ups and downs I honestly don't know how we would have managed without Brian's constant communication and understanding of our goals. Oh, and the end result is better than we ever hoped aesthetically. Not only does everything "work" again but it is physically EXACTLY what we had in our minds when we started approaching this. We have already recommended Brian to friends and neighbors and many of them are already pursuing those talks. On that note if we EVER need work done in this home or a future location Diamond Kitchen will be first call we make. Thank you Brian!!! kortney & stephan"
