"Dave (and his assistant Jake) just completed the installation of a white vinyl railing on our existing no-maintenance deck. He was prompt in arriving each day (arrived when promised), efficient (all work completed 1 day ahead of schedule) and did all work as promised. The previously installed steps needed additional work, which involved removing, modifying, and re-installing 2 sets of stairs. Dave's attention to detail recognized that this modification would ensure the finished job would look seamless. The completed installation looks wonderful! Due to a minor water leak a section of drywall about 8' x 2' had been cut out. The trim in this area and on the other side of the hall plus a closet had to be placed as well. The drywall and trim had been removed due to a small amount of mold from the water leak.  I called George's painting due to all the great reviews here on Angie's list.  I received an estimate on this work and in addition I asked for an estimate on some painting.  I thought the estimate was very fair. George was extremely professional and even came to look at what the job entailed late on a Friday evening as he was returning from other jobs on his way back to his office. This was absolutely fine with me as I had no plans to go anywhere.  George sent my estimate first thing Monday morning.

In the end I used George's only for the drywall and trim work. The job was easily scheduled and the 2 man crew did an outstanding job. I couldn't even tell there had been any damage. The trim work was outstanding as well with nice miter cuts. It lined up well with the existing molding where the miter cuts met.  It only took them approximately 4 hours to do the job.  I plan to call George's in the future for outside painting of my house.

This was a $299 big deal purchase. They came out for one day and it was a little slow, but they did fine and now he is supposed to come back this week. Originally when I purchased it I wanted them to put some shelves in the closet. When I tried to ask them what materials I needed they said they did not do that and do not give consulting advice. Then I changed the job to another room and had to change the trim materials. It took that long to order and get in the new materials. It took them the whole 7 hours to put in trim around three windows so that concerned me. It took him a long while but he got it done. I wanted him to put trim around the windows and put in some baseboard and chair rail but the only thing he got done was put trim around three windows. He did not come out on the day he was supposed to. I have had other people work here and it never took anyone 7 hours to put trim around three windows. Usually it would take them an hour to an hour and a half. I purchased another deal to get the work finished up and I hope I get my money's worth. I can't believe it took 7 hours to do trim on three windows. It was very small trim. I don't understand why it took that long. For them to do better I would say they need to send a person who has experience with that particular expertise. They asked me what I wanted done and I told them trim work so I think they should have sent someone who has carpentry skills because that was concerning. The price was good; the price was just fine. My husband wasn't happy, but I was with the price. He missed the first appointment. It was not the first time. He was a little late. He is a nice guy. This guy came here before and did another room and he was really fast. Honestly I am not sure what happened this time.
