"Tom and his son Tommy did a wonderful job. Removing our relatively new railing and then replacing it back after the deck was completed was a challenge that other contractors could not guarantee. The railings went back exactly as before, without any damage or lost pieces. They arrived on time and removed all of the old cedar two level decking. They made sure all of the sub-structure was in good condition, and replaced/reinforced where ever was necessary. They even demolished the existing steps, and built an entire new stairs. I had an existing problem with wood rot under my sliding glass door, but Tom adding flashing and insured that the new decking was slightly sloped away from the door to keep rain and moisture away from the wood base. Their overall workmanship was outstanding. They cleaned up the premises so well, that you wouldn't even know they were here. We had received estimates from several companies, but what we liked about Russett was that they only do decks, and they do it themselves......no subcontracting. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"Representative was very friendly and made an appointment to come to our home to put together an estimate. He was very knowledgeable about fencing, materials, etc. I was impressed with the sample materials that he brought to demonstrate the quality of their product. He also explained that, since they do things the right way, their company's estimate would undoubtedly be higher than the others I would receive. Fair enough--I appreciated being told upfront. I also understand that you get what you pay for. But, everything in life is a cost-benefit analysis. After assuring the rep we would be in contact once we made a decision, he stated that he definitely would not be hassling me to pressure me into going with his company. As it turns out, of the many companies that I reached out to, this rep kept badgering me with more and more messages. Other companies might send one or two follow up emails, but this guy was persistent! Even after gently informing him that it is simply not in our budget (their quote was $3700 more than two of the lower bids we received), he would still send messages telling me how our fence wouldn't last since we are going with a subpar company. I have no doubt they do excellent work, but they also need to respect that customers are going to request multiple quotes and not everyone is able to go with their company"

"Exceptional work! I hired FAMB Construction, LLC after interviewing quite a contractors (large and small companies) to replace my wood deck with Trex composite decking. Noel and Claudia are extremely professional from start to finish of the project and clearly communicated in detail what work was going to be done. Noel provided a variety of actual samples choose from and provided helpful details on how the project would be completed. My deck looks amazing and Noel even corrected some deck issues that were not within the scope of the project. I would highly recommend FAMB Construction for their high level craftmanship, professionalism, timeliness, and cost efficiency in completing my project. "Well, first off, I thought he might not be interested because it took a while to get his quote back, but then his quote was significantly lower that another Angie's List contractor.  After reviewing the proposal carefully with him, and reading all the reviews of his company I decided to go with him.  The work included installing a surface level french drain, regrading, adding soil and re-sodding about 300 sq ft of lawn.  Further more, I added some additional landscaping, adding a row of seven (7) 4' skip laurel bushes along a fence line to provide a visual break into my neighbor's yard and redoing an "eyesore on the side of my house by cleaning it up and putting in 40 big bell liriope plants.  This included digging the areas out, removing all debris and mulching.  Weather caused us to postpone installation for a day, but they arrived early on the new day and went right to work.  They finished by mid-afternoon and cleaned up and were out.  The crew was friendly and professional.  The work looks good so far, but it will take a bit for the plants and sod to establish, but things appear to be going nicely.  
I rated the professionalism down to a B because although they said that they were going to have a phone line in the yard marked by MissUtility, they did not.  I had to show them approximately where the phone line was and where the water line for my sprinklers was.  They were very careful in digging, but the phone line as buried deep enough that we did not encounter it.  They did discover the water lines but were very careful in working around them.  
I expect in a month or two, the yard will look beautiful, and am confident that if there are any problems they'll come back to solve them. (I am NOT expecting any problems.  Everything looks great so far)

"Homecraft Builders did an AMAZING job on our screened-in porch and we couldn't be happier! Their price was fair (right in the middle of the quotes I received from other companies) and Marc and his crew were really easy to work with. Throughout the course of the project, Marc kept us posted on expectations leading up to our start date and then stayed in constant communication with us during the construction phase. When we needed to make minor tweaks or changes, Marc and the crew were always open to our ideas and continuously stressed that our satisfaction was their goal. Once the project started, they worked everyday (aside from weekends, of course) to get the job done in a timely and efficient manner. The screened-in porch turned out even better than expected and we couldn't be happier with the project. We're out there ALL THE TIME now and get tons of compliments from our neighbors. I'd definitely recommend using Homecraft Builders if you're looking to replace and/or add a new deck or screened-in porch to your backyard!"

"I wish I could explain it. I called Abbey Fence and Deck last week to request a quote for a deck extension with composite deck boards. They quickly put me on the schedule no problem. Flash forward to today. The guy started measuring my existing balcony and asked what I wanted and as soon as I started explaining that I wanted to expand the deck out into the yard and across the back of the home, he started making excuses. He said they only had white rails no black, he started telling me about another job where he was waiting since September (it’s now March) for materials. He went on to say it would be August when he could get black railings. Then I said ok, if you can’t do the job I understand. So he took all his measuring tools, including a huge walking measuring wheel and left. It was very odd. Why didn’t they tell me when I called that they were low on parts or had a backlog on projects due to lack of materials. Needless to say, I called Wold Home Products, one of the companies he said they use and get this....The customer service rep said they have plenty of black aluminum railings. She even went on to tell me to have the contractor ask for the Westbury Tuscany #C-10. When I read reviews I take what people say with a grain of salt, especially if they are the only negative in a sea of positives. Trust me, I wasn’t asking for anything special or extravagant, just a simple deck. It was truly odd."

I talked to other contractors and was told 8 weeks or more. I didn’t wait that with Excel. Even with the rain and a holiday my deck was done in approximately 30 days from signing. Give them a call, you won’t be disappointed."

"Had a pretty great experience with Homelife when we replaced our roof. The owner communicated often and was easy to speak with. Our driveway was cracked by the delivery company, not Homelife, and upon calling Ed (Homelife's owner) he promised it would be taken care of. The delivery company denied any fault but they agreed to pay for the cracks to be patched. Everyone I've spoken with about the price says it was a great deal and they were surprised at how little we paid. The roof looks great and it was completed in one day. The reason I only gave 4.5 stars instead of 5 is that the roofers had to remove several skylights in our house which allowed a ton of debris and dirt to fall onto our furniture and floor. It took us several hours of cleaning to get it all off the sofas, counter tops, and support beams (it's a vaulted ceiling). The owner, Ed, told me that he would have told us to move the furniture or put down a tarp but he wasn't expecting to have to take the skylights all the way out. Aside from that, everything went very well. I'd definitely work with Homelife again and I'd recommend them to a friend."
