"Very hard to initially schedule a time or receive call backs but once the time was set up, everything went very well. They had limited product selection but we were able to do all windows but one and the coverings came in much ahead of schedule and installation was very quick and well done. Installation and cordless shades were no upcharge which kept the price down quite a bit."

"I used Procraft to replace all the windows plus the back door on my house a good eight years ago. The door to the detached shed needed to be replaced and so I thought of them. Please do note they have a minimum charge of $1500 for new work, which ended up being fine since that's about how much the door cost. They came out quickly for an estimate, helped me pick a door that suited my needs and scheduled a time that was convenient. The installer that came out is one of their best guys - I wish I could remember his name! In addition to installing the new door, he also fixed the back door which had started to warp a bit and when closed had a small gap, no charge. They also took away the old windows which I had kept when they replaced them eight years ago, again, at no charge. Their installers really know what they're doing. Since I was already doing things with them, I ended up having one of my windows replaced as well which had partially broken due to a rock hitting it. The installer was there about five minutes before his scheduled time and completed the task extremely quickly. Overall, very satisfied with the extra mile they went and the expertise and speed of the installs. There were a bit of offset in some communication about when the new window would be available - I ended up calling them to ask when it would arrive and it had just arrived so they likely would have called me in the next day or two. The doors/windows they sell aren't cheap but they are good quality. Overall, very happy with the work provided and would go with them again."

"Stirling was super responsive and explained things well when I had questions. They came out to bid on the work, delivered the quote on-time, made the purchasing process easy, and the crew - including the owner - that installed the windows were courteous and professional. I love the new windows in my home - they look great and are well-installed. I'd hire Stirling again if I need windows in the future."

"King County Window and glass was awesome! Not only was their quote the lowest their installers were phenomenal. They were professional, yet friendly. Worked around our busy morning trying to get everyone out of the house. They were very nice to our 16mo and 3 year old kids. Also aside from leaving behind beautiful new windows you can't tell at all any work was done. They cleaned up everything related to their work. These guys were so nice and friendly I would invite them over to our house to watch a Seahawks game."

"Pamela and Hal were terrific. They took time to review all options and help me make the right choice. Blinds were expensive, but they look great and Hal did a nice installation job. On time and on their quote."

"Not only did they do the work mentioned, they did extra work like removing old broken window hardware and replacing old rusted hinges. Everything fits and operates like new. I have used this company, and Jack specifically, over the past 15 years as we restore our 1931 home. He has always been patient, thoughtful and creative in addressing our window related problems. He understands old homes and appreciates those of us that want to restore them correctly. I only wish this company offered services beyond their current offerings. I would use them for everything they do."

"Wonderful! Shane was there on time, did the work like the experienced pro is obviously is and left my house as clean as when he arrived. They even washed the inside and outside of the windows. He and is co-worker were delightful and I am now having them come back to do another window, this one is twice the size of the last, but am not concerned at all, knowing it will be done right and for a good price. I would recommend Shane to anyone looking to replace glass, he knows his stuff! <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Oak Harbor, WA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
