"The work was performed right to our requests. There was an issue with miscommunication regarding that the repairs were completed when they hadn't been done yet, Basically they just called the wrong customer. Will immediately took charge, started doing the requested work and significantly altered the cost due to their error. We actually got our computer back before originally promised. Nice to see a business that takes responsibility for their actions, their work and their customer's satisfaction."

"I didn’t really pursue them or anything but in terms of the quote, it was a good experience. They were very quick and accommodating. They put my ride in as soon as I walked in and gave me a paper quote. It wasn’t troublesome at all. I also asked another company and they quoted around the same amount. So it was a fair number they gave me. It was very detailed and it was a paper documentation."

"I called Chris Bergman owner of Cyprus Glass after reading positive reviews of his company on Angie's List. He was professional and followed through promptly in getting the job done. He was just all around good to work with. He also did a number of window replacements for my mother who was just as happy with the high quality work as we were. I meant to get this review submitted much sooner, but our opinion of Cyprus Glass hasn't changed. We'll definitely be using this company for any window issues in the future. <br />"

"Keith Sitzmann and his sons Beau and Aaron, who worked as subcontractors, specialize in installing Four Seasons sunrooms and related remodeling. Keith came out after we contacted Four Seasons and proposed a solution for a problem of what to do about the nearly unusable balcony and replacement sunroom after removing the old sunroom and hot tub (which we hadn't used in about 12 years). It was a novel approach that I hadn't thought of, and would provide a usable small room where the upper balcony was, along with a great new sunroom that we could actually use. After agreeing on the design, contract, and price, Keith ordered the new sunroom. He kept us informed of the delivery date (it took about two weeks to arrive) and when they would start work. Keith, Beau, and Aaron were always prompt, explained thoroughly what they planned to do, and worked very hard and carefully with their crews. They removed the entire old sunroom and hot tub in one day, which was amazing. I had been wondering for several years about how that could be done. They installed a large tarp over the area to protect it from rain. It took two days to build out the upper room and install the main parts of the sunroom, then another two days to finish everything. They answered all my questions and concerns. We now have two delightful new rooms that are usable, where before was just dead weight on the house. They cleaned up very well and hauled away all the debris -- including the pumps, non-working heater, and hoses for the hot tub that I had removed. Keith said they recycled what they could (wood beams, etc.). Aaron and Beau and their crews did most of the work, and did a great job. We are extremely pleased."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Oak Harbor, WA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
