"I thoroughly enjoyed working with Courtney from Window Décor. She was friendly, courteous and professional. She answered my questions in a timely fashion, brought samples to my house to help me choose the right color, and measured each window to ensure a proper fit. The blinds were delivered within the two week estimate she provided. Bobby installed the blinds. He was a delight to work with. He also was friendly, courteous and professional. I would highly recommend Window Décor to anyone shopping for Hunter Douglas blinds. I couldn't be happier."

The entire process from start to finish was great. Love the windows and patio door."

"After 18 years, my wife and I started to renovate our home. We met with several companies (one of them being Advance). Prices were comparable with all of them, but quality of materials were not. We preferred the options that Advance offered and felt they were the right company for the job. I have never been a fan of high pressure sales techniques, up-selling or salespersons who’s answers are all about getting you to sign the papers. Rob, Advance’s sales representative, we found to be very personable. It was his knowledge and truthful answers that were the deciding factor in why we chose Advance for our first major home improvement job. We were installing solar panels and wanted to have a new roof installed before the installation. The Advance roofing crew headed by Adrian, were all very professional, friendly, and worked extremely hard during the hot summer heat in July 2019. We were so impressed with the roofing job and crew, in early 2020 we decided to continue our relationship with Advance and met with Rob again for our second job. This time a new 8 foot front door with side lights, family room french door, large foyer window, master bedroom windows in the front of the house and some cedar impressions siding accents. We were very happy with the job and quality of the finished work that Steve and Calvin completed. Like most jobs there are small details that need to be adjusted and these were dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction with our project manager Gary. In November 2020, we completed a third job with Advance in which we installed two more doors, windows, and additional cedar impression and board and batten siding. Most recently, we scheduled a fourth job for the Spring of 2021 to complete the remaining windows (I have over 40 windows in my home). I can not say enough about how much Advance has exceeded our expectations in every way—the quality of work, great crews and home office staff. They are friendly, requests and concerns are answered quickly by our Project Manger Gary and Sale Representative Rob. Based on the excellent rapport we have with the entire Advance team, we have decided to continue our relationship with them for all future home renovations, no need to look any further. We look forward to continuing our home projects with Advance, as we know it will be stress free."

"I was very impressed with Anthony's work in every respect. He checked the factory coating on all the windows before installing the film.  He is very punctual and made an extra effort to fulfill a time sensitive need on my schedule.  The tinting looks great and I am very pleased with the service I received.  Highly recommended. <br />"

"We were contacted immediately by Eastern Shore Window and Door. Their rep scheduled an appointment and arrived on the day and time promised. You have no idea how rare that can be here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We were very impressed. He left us with an invoice explaining the work to be done and the cost. Was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The price seemed reasonable. We did discover that it was possible to replace just the glass without installing an entire new window, so that is what we did. But I would absolutely call them again if we have a window or door issue."

"Met with Jesse to discuss installing fans after being told that we needed to have a <br /> different type of venting installed. Jesse was very professional and <br /> responded to all the questions I had. Agreed to have the service completed were <br /> told that install should be early next week. Monday of the next week we did not <br /> hear about when the installer would be coming. Received a call Tuesday stating <br /> that a representative was at the house. When I asked why we were not consulted <br /> on the time he said that he did not know till that day he would be installing <br /> the fans. Fans were installed while my wife and I were not there to ask for them <br /> to be installed were wiring could be run to them. Fans were installed however <br /> when we had our electrician come to wire fans wiring had to be run outside not <br /> in the attic. Our house has a small attic and with the A/C vents is not tall <br /> enough for the electrician to reach the fans. Needless to say this added <br /> frustration could have been avoided by consulting us on install time and <br /> date. <br />"

"Pella Windows, including KC Pella in Bethesda and Pella on Baltimore Ave in Beltsville, MD, did an outstanding job in all respects. We were going to buy one or two windows and ended up buying 22. The sales person was outstanding. The sent another person out to take the measurements after the sales person came out. They tailored the windows to our home. We told them we wanted their best team to come out and do the work. They got them scheduled and delivered on time. They came out and were right up front about the information regarding the project. The team was very efficient and thorough. They finished the work in two and a half days. They cleaned up after themselves. We thought there was a need for some minor touch up painting, and they sent an expert painter out at no charge to us to touch up the interior paint. Later on we had some questions about minor damage to a window from another painting company. They fixed that at no charge since it was under warranty. They also came out last winter to take care of a few places that needed minor touch up caulking. The windows were so effective that we had to get used to new thermostat settings. We have used less heat in the winter and less air in the summer. We are extremely happy with the service overall from the sales people, to the installation team, and everyone in between. I have no reservations giving them an outstanding A+ in all respects."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Ocean City, MD

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
