"The installers worked diligently, quickly and the result was a beautiful shower. I needed a little more guidance in planning what materials I needed to get for the project. The employees at Home Depot were very helpful to me in this regard."

"Armor Shield was hired to remove our old tar & gravel roof and replace with a metal roof as well as replace our gutters. The roof project went very well and so far we are extremely happy with the new roof. What brought the rating down was the gutter installation. They installed the down spout extension across the sidewalk leading to our front door. We called twice to have them come out to fix this and they never came. We had to take care of the problem ourselves. If you have gutters installed make sure you are home to insure they are installed correctly."

"The sales person for Hardy Jensen was very responsive to our inquiry for bidding on our replacement window project. He came on a Saturday morning that worked around my schedule. He was very knowledgeable about various windows and installation process. He started with Hardy Jensen as an installer so we trusted his knowledge about the installation options. He was not a pushy salesmen, It did take longer than we expected to get pricing because he said he was really busy. We did appreciate his honesty, but I had to contact him to remind him to get the pricing to us. When he did the pricing, he told us that <br /> they did not play games and that their price is the price. After we received a couple of pricing options, we met him at their showroom in Racine which had everything we were looking for. We settled on specific options and he modified the quote <br /> accordingly. Because of the size of this project (between $60K - $80K) I asked for the sales rep to break out the labor separate from the window price, so I could quote apples-to-apples. I explained we were getting several quotes and another installer was quoting the same brand window and model. The direct quote in an email from the owner was this:  “Your research should be better directed to the product end then the company, then the company that handles it locally, then the bottom line price. Dividing this all out for sales staff and consumers only confuses the quantity of information you would need to sift thru.”  This response took me aback since all I wanted to know is how much is he charging me for the window itself. We had several email exchanges with me explaining my position and that I expect companies to make a profit. I also stated I was NOT focusing on bottom line price and that I was willing to pay MORE for a better installer. I just wanted to break down the price. Since the other bids I was receiving did, indeed, break out labor from materials, I was able to make an easy decision. Needless to say, <br /> Hardy and Jensen did not receive the project because I was looking for a business who was transparent and provided detailed quotes like the rest of the market. If I couldn’t get that basic information, I was concerned about how problems would <br /> be resolved down the road if I was to award them the business. <br />"

"Everything about this project was great: getting an estimate, scheduling the installation, the installer, and the product. We should have added a Solatube to our dark hallway a long time ago. This was an excellent investment, and worth every penny."

"They did an absolutely outstanding job replacing my roof during the <br /> cold.  The workers were personable, reliable, and efficient.  When the <br /> job was completed the cleanup was exceptional. <br /> I couldn't have <br /> been happier with the results.  If you are considering SPS for a roofing <br /> job they are exactly the folks that should be hired.  Even when the <br /> workers needed to go to another flat of shingles over what was <br /> estimated, my final price was no higher than the estimate I was given.  <br /> That doesn't happen very much in this world anymore, most places would <br /> have passed the additional cost on to me and just said that an estimate <br /> is just that an estimate. <br />"

"My mailbox fell apart and could not be repaired. It needed a new post and everything. This occurred the first week of December and although the ground was not yet frozen, I was concerned that it could soon become frozen.  This is Wisconsin, after all. I called all the highly rated handyman providers, and they all were booked for at least two weeks and some were busy through January or February. I decided to take a chance on Property Image, even though they had only a few reviews. The entire process went really well. They could not set up an available date for three days or so, but they communicated with me so I knew they were coming. I also could not be there during the work, which was not a problem for them. They offered to buy a new mailbox for me, but I wanted to choose one myself. I bought one (they purchased a post), and left it on my front porch in the morning. I came home that evening and it was installed perfectly, just the right distance from the street, level and sturdy in the ground. The landscaping around the post looked like it was barely touched. They billed me about a week later. It all worked out and I love my new mailbox <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Oconto Falls, WI

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
