"I am holding my final review to see if Roof Top Services live up to their rating. I picked them for their rating and they had the services I needed. GacoFlex silicone coating was put on patio roof,which also covers part of master bedroom in July. September 2nd we developed a leak in master bedroom, above area that was sealed.Since this was Labor Day weekend I did not call until Tuesday 4th. I was told someone would call back, which never happened. Wednesday called again and I was transferred to Debbie who had my file but could not say when they could have someone come out to look at this. She would ask someone else to see if they could free up someone to come over to take a quick look.They were very busy. No call back no one showed up. I gave them Thursday without calling hoping they would contact me. Called again Friday, left message for Debbie,no response. She was out of office. Called back in afternoon,Debbie had just got back but was nowhere to be found. Left another message. Monday the 10th someone else contacted me to let me know someone would be out to evaluate the leak on Thursday 14th. On Wednesday the 13th the employee who originally applied the coating showed up at 1:30pm with a different coating to seal the seams in the patio roof. It was determined that small pinholes along the seams did not dry properly therefor water could seep through these areas. I am happy that this was resolved and no one was ever rude to me. I thought that since they repaired my roof with a warranty that it would not take over a week to get it fixed. Thankfully it only rained briefly in that time frame. Also there was never any mention to repair the ceiling which developed the leak. The people are nice enough but the service , I feel, was not done in a timely manner."

"The reroof went very well. Very happy I went with Collis Roofing and would work with them again. We are very happy with the scheduling, execution and clean up. Any issues or concerns were promptly addressed and all handled to our complete satisfaction. Coordinating with the office staff (Wendy, Cathy and Chelsea), to get the project rolling was hassle free and they all responded to my inquiries promptly."

"Excellent job! The quality of the work was very good, and they replaced the wood over several areas including a large area over the garage where there was a major leak. As there was some storm-damage, insurance covered a majority of the cost (though I did pay for the wood-replacement as my insurance did not cover that). Time from initial ins-adjuster inspection to job-start was approx. 5-6 weeks, the job itself took up to 2 weeks (they did run short of shingles, but were able to quickly & professionally complete the re-roof). They also worked with the city-inspector to ensure a satisfactory completion & compliance to code. One thing I would suggest is that they use a better waste-disposal as the dumpster-trailer used had flat tires & work-trash easily blew into the neighbors' yards on windy days. Still, this contractor is highly recommended."

"<p>Before going any further, I would to summarize by saying the work was grossly not done according to contract.  But, the owner recognized the failures done by his people and refunded all the money.   I respect him for that<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <p> He had a new estimator that was not always truthful and had some bad installers.  Hopefully he will correct that.  He seemed very concerned about doing a good job.</p> <p>The disaster!</p> <p>About two months later we had a leak.  The estimator came out and was going to charge $1500 more to replace some shingles one row above where they did there repair. He claimed that it was not his fault</p> <p>Note: We had twelve different roofers come out in the beginning to give estimates.  in general everyone commented about the poor workmanship by Tanenbaum Roofing.  I got pictures. Estimates ranged from $1200 to $9500.  As a side note, some of the worst estimates were roofers high on Angie's list.  Of the 12 only about 5 I thought had integrity.  I assumed that ANC was good. </p> <p>I first caught the roofers using the wrong shingle material.  That was couple week delay.   The older roofer never came back after the first day or two.  He seemed frustrated with chimney repair.  They brought the skylights to our house and I looked in the truck and I was noticed the skylight that I looked at was not the laminated skylight that was ordered.  They stopped again and got the right skylights, so I thought.   I did not go on the roof to check the roof since I am elderly.  It looked good from ground level.  </p> <p><strong>Then the rain came and then the big leak.</strong><br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <p>As I said above the roofer wanted to charge for his screw-up and gave a false cause of failure.  I called out 5 roofers.  They took pictures.  I sent the pictures to the owner of ANC.   They found that three different roofing materials were used.  </p> <p>One of the two skylights was not laminated.  They only showed me the one laminate skylight.  There were some areas with no shingles with only tar.  The joining of the bad areas had spots with no shingles, loose shingles, no tar, <strong>shingles with no nails</strong>, poor skylight installation.   I have pictures. </p> <p>I decided to have Roof Top Services do the work and they ripped out everything and expanded the replacement area, completely redid the chimney.  Cost was $4,300.  Great job!</p> <p>Like I said I respect the owner for returning the money.  He needs to get some new people who can do the good job that he expects.  If he has new people he needs to personally follow-up.</p> <br />"
