"Darrell called the day before the appointment to confirm. He and his crew arrived on time on the day appointed. They replaced the sub-floor and installed new laminated flooring on top, re-installed the toilet and vanity, installed a baseboard which we did not have before. The result was a beautiful bathroom better than when the house was built. Each time I walk past the bathroom, I am in awe as to how beautiful it looks and for a very reasonable price. I will definitely call Darrell when I have other work to be done."

"Could not be more impressed ! The entire V&V team was extremely helpful, thoughtful, and professional. They suggested a more cost effective approach to handle my project than I had envisioned, were punctual, attentive, and did excellent work. I could not be happier. I have been involved in the commercial and residential construction industry for more than 30 years, and have never been more pleased with a contractor's service and overall efforts."

"had fireplace cleaned by another company and they pointed out cracked bricks that needed to be replaced and repaired. Estimate was $1,300. Danny looked at fireplace and gave me estimate of $800. Since he had done an excellent job of replacing my sidewalk a few months ago I had him do job. He showed up on day and at time he said he would . He only charged me $500 because he said it did not take as much time as he first thought. WOW. I have been hiring tradesmen for 45 years and this is first time I ever had work done for LESS than estimate. And he did a first class job."

"Mr. Dice is a consummate professional. He provided me a free quote for services. We then scheduled the start date of the project. Mr. Dice arrived promptly at our scheduled time. The work was completed in an extremely timely manner. He and his worker were respectful, and thoroughly cleaned up the job site. I was thrilled with my new metal roof!!! It added a great deal of curb appeal to my home. I am extremely satisfied with the job performance and quite honestly was very impressed with his work ethic!!! It seems almost a rarity in my past experiences anyway to have someone show up on time and do a satisfactory job. Mr. Dice is a humble honest man and I without any reservation would highly recommend C&H Roofing!!!!"

"Exceptional work! Just moved in to an older house that needed many repairs and updates. Services included extensive termite repair on the house exterior, removed and replaced damaged materials, restored and repainted; wiring and installing ceiling fan, can lights and exterior lights where none existed before; replacing and remodeling areas where fluorescent lighting existed and replaced with overhead lighting or canned lighting; cutting and creating a door for easier attic access and many other minor repairs. Work was done so well that no one would ever suspect they were not always part of our home. Quality work done in a very timely manor. Bruce is very professional and a joy to work with. I will use Whispering Stream Remodeling again and would highly recommend them to anyone."

"We needed to have some exterior repairs on our building. Mr. McClain helped us. We had water coming through the cracks in the brick work. The job took him a few days. He had to rent some equipment to do the work. It was a very positive experience for us. Mr. McClain is professional. He shows up. He looks for cost effective solutions. He is very easy to reach and communicate with if you have questions."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Old Fort, NC

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
