"We’ve used this company twice now for pre and post mold testing. They are professional, and usually pretty thorough in their testing and recommendations on how or what to remediate. The testers have always been friendly and helpful. They were flexible with scheduling changes and available for testing when needed. My only complaint is that I wish it wasn’t so expensive. Wish they didn’t charge as much for the post testing since of course that would be part of the whole process and needed to close out a project."

"Arnold and Patrick arriver right on time.I explained my concerns for the SUV .It was in very bad shape.Had stains all over the seats and carpet. They started to work right away.Offered me to restore the front lights which I declined.Did superb job on the SUV,even did minor restoration for no charge.Put sealer instead of wax on the exterior beacause the sealer lasts loneger.have to test that yet. <br /> They spent 2 1/2 hr on the van <br /> On my GL450,they did basic cleaning which was definetely not basic at all.they were very thorough.Spent 30 minutes .I am super pleased with their service. <br />"

"It was frustrating. I bought the service because of an Angie's List promotion. When I received the package I opened it and saw what it was and set it aside. I was very busy and planned to get to it in a few days. I had to go out of town for a few days, then I had a ridiculous string of bad luck with multiple car breakdowns. I have a neuromuscular disease so everything I do is very difficult and exhausting. With so much happening, I forgot about the test kit. Then after a couple weeks I get a call from Mold Lab asking about the kit saying it was past the due back date and they were going to charge me $25 a day late fee on the pump. I was stunned! I opened the box and there was nothing inside saying it was due by a certain time. I re-read the Angie's List ad and there was nothing there either. The lady was very rude and kept interrupting me saying the same things over and over like maybe I would finally understand if she kept repeating it. I understood the first time. She wouldn't listen to understand I didn't know about the deadline but now that I was made aware of it I would do the testing that day and ship it that day. What else could I do? That wasn't good enough she had to repeat her lecture a few more times. After sending it in I was told I would receive a text when it was complete and I would receive an email with results within a few days. After a month I called and the same lady answered. She claimed to have sent an email, but didn't know the date and told me to check my junk mail folder. I checked everywhere but had no record of it. I explained I hadn't received the text either, she had no response for that. So she sent an email while we were on the phone and I received it immediately. I printed out the results but without the proper training or experience in laboratory sciences it was basically useless."

"We had an awesome experience recently with a 4-point inspection for homeowners insurance purposes. Noah Wetzel came to the house and was in and out within 45 minutes. Noah was very professional and knowledgeable about the items to be inspected. The final report was made available to us online the same day. We would highly recommend using CFBI for all your inspection needs."

"I submitted my request for a quote by email and Robert responded by phone within 2 hours. He was very helpful, answered several questions I had and we set up an appointment. His quote was a little higher than some others I had seen on the internet but considering his reviews on Angie's List and our phone conversation I figured he was worth the extra few dollars. He showed up promptly at the appointed time, explained what a wind mitigation inspection was and what he would be looking for. After he went up in the attic to do his inspection he came back down and showed me a picture of where the insulation and started to come loos around some of the big main air ducts was coming loose and recommended that I get it fixed. He explained the results of his inspection clearly and went oh his way. <br /> He also does whole house 4 point inspections and if I ever need one I will definitely give him a call. <br />"

"We recently purchased flooring from Lumber Liquidators for our new home. As the installer was finishing, we learned of the 60 minutes segment on Lumber Liquidators (LL) which showed inadequate or potentially toxic levels of Formaldehyde in their products due to improper manufacturing and quality control methods used in their manufacturing plants. We were shocked and concerned about our flooring. We called up IET right away to see what our options were and how could we get our floors tested. I spoke with Will Spates, President, who was incredibly knowledgeable about Formaldehyde levels and testing. After a few minutes of talking to Will, I knew I needed to get him out to test our air quality. He came out to our home next business day and immediately began testing the air quality in the newly installed laminate rooms.  We received real-time measurements with results on site. Will also collected product information and bulk samples from our stock for archive and further testing, if needed. Will spent a considerable amount of time talking to us about our test results, air quality and measures to ensure proper ventilation. After the meeting, Will followed up with a thorough, detailed report of his findings and recommendations as well as other resources to help us maximize our air quality. Will and his team at IET were great to work with.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for asbestos testing projects in Orlando, FL

Asbestos appears as long, thin, or curled mineral fibers that are not visible to the naked eye under normal conditions. Homes constructed before 1989 are more likely to contain this material, so a professional inspection is essential. Because asbestos identification requires specialized techniques, having a certified inspector assess your property is the safest way to confirm its presence and protect your family’s health.

Free asbestos testing services do not exist. You can purchase testing kits online for $30 per unit, and these kits include lab fees, return shipping, consultation, sampling media, and the final results. The results from a kit are less detailed and accurate than those provided by a certified asbestos testing professional. Since collecting a sample exposes you to harmful fibers, hiring a professional is essential to ensure safety and accurate testing.

Receiving asbestos test results takes one to seven days, but different labs offer varying turnaround times. When expedited processing is arranged, the laboratory completes analysis within 24 hours; standard processing requires up to two weeks. Hiring a certified professional ensures that all samples are collected correctly and results are provided without delay, safeguarding your home throughout the process.

Home insurance doesn't often cover asbestos testing and removal. Many policies have a clause called a "pollution exclusion," which means they do not cover indoor pollutants like asbestos. However, your insurance company might cover something like asbestos siding removal costs if it is released due to things beyond your control, such as storm damage.

If a DIY project or accident in your home releases harmful fibers, you must pay for the test and removal.

Yes, you can legally inspect and remove asbestos in your house as long as it's a single-family home and not a multi-family unit. However, the EPA strongly recommends hiring an asbestos abatement pro since testing can be dangerous.

Pros have all the right tools and safety equipment, and you risk breathing in the fibers by taking samples yourself. They also know how to collect samples and safely dispose of materials properly.

Asbestos encapsulation is a process that seals asbestos-containing materials with a protective barrier to prevent the release of harmful fibers. It serves as an alternative to complete removal when full abatement is not necessary. Encapsulation costs between $2 and $6 per square foot, offering a cost-effective option that contains asbestos safely when applied by a certified professional.
