An hour before the scheduled time, Steven called to let us know that he had finished earlier in his previous stop and he could arrive at our home within 20 mins. "The technician did a lot of work installing two electrical boxes in concrete block at the proper location to allow the stove to sit flush with the wall. One box was for the new outlet and the other for a junction with the original wiring. The new outlet position was at the joint between two concrete blocks, making the job more difficult. The new stove now sits against the wall and works great."

"We live on an island so we're pretty used to occasional power outages and brown-outs. Last week we experienced what appeared to be a severe brown-out leading to total power failure but only half the house. I called the power company who came and did a load test which proved it wasn't power up to the house. So we checked Angie's List for a new electrician having had so many bad experiences with others in the past. Bill Johnston, the owner of Preferred Electrical Construction, came out to the house right away. He was very professional, knowledgeable and caring. He located the source of the problem quickly...the main breaker panel outside where the power comes into the house. He opened the panel, with difficulty from salt corrosion and paint, and found that there wasn't even electricity on one of the leads going into the house from the breaker. Bill pulled the beaker out, cleaned it out some and put it back.  <br /> The power was restored though it wouldn't last for too long we knew. The panel needed replacing. He figured up the parts and labor, gave me an estimate of + - $500 saying he would handle permitting and everything. That was a Friday and the job would be finished Tuesday. We had power from him cleaning the breaker and it lasted until the work was done Tuesday morning. I couldn't be happier and plan to use Bill and Preferred Electrical Construction for all my future electrical needs. Electricians that clean up after themselves? "The most important thing they did was give a fair price for the job of replacing the old with a whole new system . The bid was definitely acceptable. The crew of two showed up when they said they would. Living in Florida everyone knows how brutal the heat can be. The two men worked all day replacing literally everything and never complained about anything. They did a great job and so glad the ac unit is working perfectly. This particular unit was installed at my daughters home. We used Total Comfort after we had a lightening strike and our unit had to be replaced. We also use their maintenance program to keep everything in top shape. Josh is I believe the supervisor and gave us the original bid at a fair price. We will continue doing business with this company. Thanks to the hard working men who worked on the installation . I trust this company."
