"Charles and Tera went out of their way to meet with us and review the repair work needed on our home. Their bid to do the work was more than fair compared to other plumbers in the area. They worked hard and communicated with us. I highly recommend them ."

"On a Sunday evening I discovered I had a broken sewer pipe and sewage was coming into my lower level. Went to Home Advisor right away and started making calls. Of the 4 or 5 places I called, Honest Abe's returned my call and came out. (I have not heard from the others 9 days later!). They fixed the clog and stopped the flooding. Set up fans, including two of mine, to start drying things out and said they should run for 24 hours. Monday evening I got a call and now they said fans should run 48 hours. Tuesday came and went with no one here, Wednesday came and went with no one here. Thursday came and by late afternoon I called and fired them then called ServePro. Then got a call from Honest Abe's apologizing for the mess up saying they could be here first thing on Friday morning which I declined. ServePro showed up on time and had the clean up, including cutting out walls, done by around 3. Set up industrial fans and dehumidifiers and said they would be back Saturday to check. And they came back. They also said that because nothing had been done for 4 days the damage was much worse than it would have been because the wet trim had not been removed so the walls just kept sucking up the moisture. I ended up having to have almost 2 feet of wall cut out from the floor up in multiple areas. Honest Abe's also gave me an estimate of the cost of repair for the pipe that broke. It included bringing in equipment and digging up the pipe. The estimate I believe was somewhere between 5 and 6 thousand for the outside work. ServePro put me in touch with Virtual Plumbing. They came out on Monday, fixed the break in less than 1 1/2 hours and charged 180.00 for everything. As of today, 9 days later, my mess is cleaned up and sanitized, the plumbing is fixed, the contractor to put the walls back was here today to get measurements to get started putting back all the walls and trimming and Honest Abe's has still not come back to pick up their fans. I hate to think what my bill from them is going to be after learning the things I have learned from the other companies. I was apparently going to be gouged and have work done that was not needed in order to jack up the cost. That being said, I will give Honest Abe's credit, and my gratitude, for coming to help me in an emergency. They were the only ones to show up and they cleared the clog so I could live normally in my home. After that though, they unfortunately dropped the ball big time and for that reason I really can't recommend them . It was very hard for me to do the star rating because they did help but then caused more damage by not coming back. I learned that if there is another emergency, I should keep ServePro in mind because if they can't fix it, they know a reliable contractor that can. And their group of contractors show up, do the job and charge a reasonable fee."

"We bought a house recently. The inspection report called for installation of an expansion tank and lengthened drip leg on the HW heater. Jamison Plumbing had installed the new HW tank several months before for the original home owner. Jason called the City of Liberty to determine the exact code requirements. He called back and agreed to the additional work at no charge. He was able to make the changes in a timely manner. His crew called to say they would be later than planned because of an unexpected delay at the preceding job site. We appreciated his willingness to finish the installation according to code and to cover the additional materials and time. It was a great way to be welcomed into a new community.

"A max of 5 stars is an injustice to the service I received. I found a local company without the hassles of excuses or employees being on lake time Tony with waterworks is someone you can trust to give you quality performance with both his work and service. He even took the time and educated me on the pros and cons of my current plumbing to help me avoid any issues in the future. If you need a plumber waterworks has your back"

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Osage Beach, MO

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
