"We had a massive leak in the shower of the guest bathroom. Since plumbing was one of the systems covered by our warranty with choice, I went on-line and filed a claim. I git an immediate response assigning me a claim number for reference and later that day received an appointment notice....GREAT customer service. The plumber arrived, at the time specified, and was immediately able to pin point the problem. (a defective shower cartridge) I have used Choice Home Warranty multiple times as my home ages and they pay for the replacement parts if needed. My "deductible" is a $45 fixed rate for the service call, no matter how long, or complicated the repair is. I absolutely am delighted with the customer service, fast response, low cost of a service visit, and NO surprises, or "fine print" excuses regarding coverage. They provide a list, in writing, of what is covered and what is not and do not deviate so I make sure my problem is on the list before filing a claim."

"Greatly recommend! Here’s our experience. We had an appointment scheduled, but the technician ran outside of the window provided. They did keep in touch throughout that time, but we had to reschedule the appointment for the next day. The two appointment times that they had available did not work with previous engagements. So the owner of the company came out to fix our drain during a window of time that worked for me. He was professional, prompt, and very efficient, as were all the employees I spoke with. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
