"I didn't go with them because the estimate was very high. The estimated price was $14,000. The guy who came out was nice. I think he very much overestimated the number. I think it is called squares of roofing that I need; he said I needed like maybe six more than every other company that I got an estimate from said. I thought there was something odd about that and his price was about $6000 more than the company that I ended up going with. I would give him a ‘C' on my overall experience based on their price but the guy who came out was nice and he showed up which is better than half the contractors who I call. He was punctual; he came on time. I would consider using them but I would be a little weary about the estimate because he did tell me I needed more shingles than what every other company said."

"<p>We have a two story house on a hill, so the roof is very high, and steep.  We had a couple of leaks around the dormers on the front of the house.  We had called several roofing companies, who either came and never called us back, or never came to begin with.  Al Marino's Company did come, gave an estimate that said they would not guarantee work on just the leaks around the dormers, and recommended replacing the entire roof, or at least the front half of the roof.  We weren't happy about that prospect, but we did understand their position, and decided to proceed with replacing the entire roof.  The men who came to actually perform the work, were on time, worked hard, and were knowledgeable about the project. They were not prompt about cleaning up as the project progressed.  There was a large stack of old removed shingles, in the back yard for more than a week and a half.  If the project manager had been checking in, or returning his calls, this could have been avoided.  They were subcontracted through Al Marino.  </p> <p>The manager of the project, who was rarely on site, was difficult to reach. We left several messages for him, with no response.   Finally, frustrated with not being able to reach the project manager, we contacted the owner of the company.  After a full day of waiting to hear back, we voiced our frustrations with not being able to reach the project manager, and with a few cleanup issues around the worksite.  The owner was responsive, and the issues were immediately rectified.</p> <p>We felt that the cost of the job was excessive, and the project manager was difficult to reach unless called by the owner of the company.  </p> <br />"

"In gaining access to our attic via a gable, a squirrel had made a 2" hole in vinyl siding that General Building Supply had installed several years ago.  We called them for a repair, and the next day they sent their installer to our home to look.  He said that to perfectly repair the hole, we would need to replace the entire piece of siding, which now was available only by special order in two package bundles for $800.  He suggested that we visit the shop and try to find a piece of scrap of the same color that we could use to make the repair from access we had from the interior.  We did, and the staff there was extremely friendly and made helpful suggestions.  We also had purchased replacement windows from them a few years ago, and we were very happy with the result. <br />"
