"Do not call anyone else but Superior Plumbing of Wichita, Inc., when a professional, reliable, fast, cost-effective Plumber is needed, PERIOD!! Christian OUR plumber was amazing, removed old faucet, placed new faucet we bought ourselves & placed cut off valves under the sink. Greg, who answered the phone was professional, helpful and let us know approximate cost. of the job. Greg scheduled at our convenience plus called the morning to let us know OUR plumber was on his way. We are so pleased and will use Superior's service again!! Big Thanks!!"

"We hired Wichita Plumbing Co. to install a natural gas line to connect to a fire pit on our patio, and we were very pleased with the friendly service and the quality of work. The Beales are class acts. They kept us informed throughout the process--which included some weather delays (certainly not their fault)--and gave us a very fair price for the extent of the work involved. We're happy to have finally found a plumbing service that we won't hesitate to hire whenever the need arises."

"The night before I had smelled gas and called the Gas Company. They <br /> turned off that portion of the pipe but that left me without my gas <br /> range. So the next day I called Reddi. Cory assessed the situation and <br /> got under the house and capped the pipe. The price seemed a little high <br /> but working with gas and on short notice I was pleased with the service. <br /> The only thing I wasn't too happy about was the items were not put back <br /> that were moved to access the area under my house. Cory was helpful and <br /> pleasant. <br />"

"Water was coming up from our pipe connected to the washer so the washer will not leak water anymore. The pipe was plugged up. He snaked the drain and unclogged it. We can now wash without the water running out. They have been here before and he is reasonable. They were great."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Oxford, KS

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
