"Overall great experience. From scheduling the estimate to the job completion, Tom was very responsive during the entire process. His crew did a very nice job getting my son's room taken care of for me and didn't leave me a huge mess to clean-up afterward. I had drywall repair from a leaky window, peeling wallpaper, and painting of walls and ceiling. Tom even called after the work was done to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. Would definitely consider for future interior painting work."

"Mr. Jenkins has complented many home improvement jobs for us and each time has done an excellent job. This man seems to have the talent to do almost any job he is asked to do. He arrives on time, does the work, cleans up after completion. One of his attributes to his credit, if he feels what you are asking him to do is not in your best interest he tells you. The end result never fails to prove him correct. We will continue to use this contractor. <br />"

"All the work was done professionally and on time. His estimates were accurate and all the work was done very satisfactorily. I will have no problem at all asking John to help me with any other projects we have. He was very prompt and professional in the haot water tank replacement as well. The bathroom, in particular, is beautiful and functions very well. The heated tile floor is a delight! We, like most people, had some changes we wanted to make and John was very open to those changes. We were able to discuss the work with him and he had no hesitancy to discuss the work done or what was planned. All the work was first rate and nothing was hidden from us.  We are very happy with the jobs done."

"Geremy came and gave a competitive bid. The bid was a bit on the higher side, but it felt as if he knew what it took and didn't want to compromise on quality. His team (especially Nick) then came and did a good thorough job and now the shower looks very good. Though there were others that had bid a bit lower, Farha Home Trends seemed to be the best mix of price and quality to me. For something as critical as a shower to get right, I did not want to take chances in quality."

"Jon has completed work for us on two seperate occasions.  He went above and beyond to assure we understood  what was needed and the cost.  We required some shingles to be replaced - he did the research and purchased them for us then made the necessary repairs.  He also changed some outdoor flood lights (high up) and power washed our gutters.  Everything was done in a timely way and with professionalism.  We will use him on all occasions that require a Handyman. "

"It was fantastic! They had a really organized crew. The guys set it up and knew exactly what they were to do, and they never missed anything. I called them and the gentleman came out and went over everything with me. He told me exactly what was going to happen and how it was going to happen. I had no problems at all. I priced them before and they were $1,000 cheaper than a couple of other bids that I got. The price was satisfactory, but I think they all charge too much."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Oxford, KS

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
