"The pro who responded to my call even came out at 9:45pm to unclog my sink! Very nice person, and worked hard to fix it. Very excellent work and he completed it in about 45 minutes. I will definitely hire Aleman Plumbing again!"

"Be prepared: You don't just pay for the work done on your house. You start paying 105.00/hour from the minute your plumber is dispatched - no matter where he is coming from, yes, no matter where he is - in my case it was 20 minutes and I was told (by the woman who dispatches) that I was 'lucky' he was in the area. Then, before anyone starts working on your problem, there is a one time 20 dollar fee for equipment - huh, I'm paying for the plumber's equipment? And then, in my case, I had to pay an extra 30 minutes while we waited for a friend of the plumber's to come to help him carry the equipment out of my backyard. When I called to question having to pay for the 30 minutes of extra time, I was lectured by a condescending woman about why all these additional fees were required - from HER point of view. Yes, to her, it made perfect sense that I was charged yet another 50+ dollars for 'waiting' for someone to come and carry equipment from my back yard. Even though Joe was great (I'd hire him again), I will not return to A & R Plumbing - 2 of my neighbors saw A & R's truck and asked about my experience and I had to tell the same. At the end of the day, I was charged 215.00 for 45 mins of labor - watch out for those hidden fees."

"All work was performed professionally and well. I'm around the house lot, so I saw the Bellows plumbers working, and they knew what they were doing. I wasn't thinking about replacing the old disposal until they showed me how close to leaking it was. Since I knew that the disposal was really old, it wasn't a big surprise that it was just a matter of time until it started leaking. And a no-brainer to replace it. My wife and I found the kitchen faucet at Home Depot, and the Bellows guy removed the old one and installed the new one. We were left with a job of finishing the caulking around the sink (it had moved during the faucet replacement and needed to be recaulked), but that was fine. I'm okay with caulking, rather not pay a plumber extra to do that. On the pressure reducer valve (PRV), they brought the related plumbing up to code (and safety standards) by adding an expansion tank at the water heater. Then they installed the PRV that I had found recommended on the internet, even though they usually installed a different, also recommended model. I was happy that they were willing and able to follow what I had found to be the best PRV for the job. They took care of getting the air and junk out of the supply lines, and left the pressure adjusted to 75psi, nice to have a job really finished. I do have to say that their rates are high, I'll have to balance that in the future. The toilet work, unclogging and changing the flapper valve was over $200, but the toilet is working well now, like new. The kitchen faucet change was over $500, about twice what I had hoped for. Changing the disposal was over $500, including the 1/2HP model that they installed. The PRV work was about $1000 including parts...don't know what to say about that one, no basis for comparison. They did give me an estimate ahead of time for the PRV work, and stuck with it. As I said, all work was done completely and professionally. There is a lot to be said for using a contractor that you can count on to do the job and leave you with a nice piece of work that doesn't need to have them come back to fix or finish. On the other hand, the rates charged seemed high to me. I'm willing to pay more for plumbing work that's done well, and I don't feel like I'll need them to come back. I'll figure out in the future if I feel that I can continue to pay their high rates. Confidence in their work counts for a lot for me, though."

"I highly recommend Marina Plumbing and Heating. They make real appointments (not 4-hour windows) and show up on time. They are knowledgeable, take the time to understand the issues, and present and discuss a range of options with varying price-points, and results. I received estimates from 5 different companies before selecting one to replace our furnace and install new air filtration. The estimate from Marina Plumbing and Heating was very competitive. Although they were not the cheapest, they were much more professional and easy to work with than the cheaper bids. Marina Pand H also included the cost of required building permits in the estimate, which the cheaper estimates were not including. This is the second project I've had this company work on and in both cases I have been very happy with the results.

"Service man Jason maintained good communication, worked with me to inspect the system and recommend a solution to sewer backups in the laundry area due to pipe corrosion downstream. I dug the trench to the street, then work took 3 days, overall well done, some pipe hangars left unattached, Jason went back in and did some tidying up. I filled in the trench, then got called back to re-excavate the trench to allow the city inspector to view the connection to the street. The Carmel inspector didn't look at any other part of the project."
