Small jobs welcome

"They replaced a gas line, relocated valves and turnoff controls, gave me advice, all with a smile and courtesy. Pleasant , professional and knowledgeable. I would hire them again, happily ,if I needed their service. Their price was much less than another company's quote for the same job."

"Hot water in the sink faucet had slowed to a trickle.brought hollinger in to install a new faucet.Turned out the faucet wasn't the problem. Previous plumber called in got it wrong.Diagnosed a blockage in the supply line coming from rubber debris from a quick connect leading to our water heater.Cleared the clog;Offered us a fair price on replacing the quick connect with a copper rigid pipe to prevent future clogs."

"Luis was a truly competent professional. He responded immediately to my request to install a new gas dryer. He went beyond that initial request, upgrading and replacing a 30 year old crimped copper gas line, attaching a necessary adapter and installing a new gas line shut-off valve. He was efficient, answered my many questions, leak-tested the new line, and tested the dryer after it was connected. I felt fortunate to have benefitted from his service, knowing that if I need any additional gas plumbing services, I will be able to count on him and his expertise."

"Tony showed up and determined he needed to replace the old heater (1992) with a new one, remove and reroute several copper pipes, reroute the electrical wiring, and haul away the old water heater. The entire job took about 5 hours, and Tony was professional and did a fantastic job and now we have hot water throughout our home. Admiral Plumbing and Tony are absolutely wonderful."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Palm Beach, FL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
