Second, I would like to say I would give them a rating of 4.9 if it were an option! Jeremy gave us GREAT service, came to give an estimate fast, got us on the schedule asap, the guys were there to knock the work out nice and early on the scheduled day. These guys had a REALLY challenging tough project to tackle, the very old concrete steps (about 20 steps) to the river are crooked, uneven and seriously steep, their job was to build a handrail obviously to make the steps safer. They accomplished it even on a 90 degree day in pure sun for hours and hours and did not leave until it was done. We can breathe a sigh of relief for the first time since getting this property, it feels so solid and safe now going down those scary steep steps! Jeremy even gave me suggestions on how to increase the longevity of this wood, appreciated! These guys are hard workers, and we will use them again for sure!"

"We hired Sure-Fix to do multiple jobs. The owner, Henry, came to our house and we walked him through all of the projects we want done and he provided good feedback and ideas. He also understood that this isn't our forever home, so while we do want to make it nicer, some projects are not worth putting money in to. They gutted our mudroom, replaced the old exterior door, closed in a window to provide better space functionality, built shelves in the mudroom closet to make it a pantry, insulated the room, rebuilt the unstable steps, instead outlets, base board heater, and new lights, replaced the flooring, replaced the roof over the mudroom, put up dry wall, and painted. They also installed a new exterior door in our sun room, replaced five old windows, and installed new outlets in our office. The workers were all very nice and you could tell they know their trade. They told us if we discovered an issue they would come fix it. Good customer service."

"Mark did an excellent job on the remodel. The house was built in 1820, which presents all sorts of challenges to any remodeling work; Mark managed all the challenges with creativity and experience. He was always pleasant, even when asked to repaint after we didn’t like the color we picked. (He even suggested the perfect color for the area.) The work areas were kept clean, and he always showed up when he said he would and was responsive to texts and phone calls. We liked the work so much that we’re hiring him to do our kitchen remodel in the fall."

Overall, Jesse and his team were wonderful to work with.  They were all very respectful and nice.  The team tried to leave as much as the wiring and the floor as possible, as not to demo everything.  In the demolition process, however, some of the screws for the light fixtures went missing (not a terrible thing, but a small hassle).  The whole process took about a week, and the drain and the walls were fixed.  Our house doesn't smell moldy anymore which is a great plus!  Two small things which bothered me slightly after the fact, was that the foreman, Bryan, said he would return a window insert for our basement window, which he hasn't done yet (it keeps air from entering the basement).  Also, instead of unscrewing some piping around the dryer vent, it seems that they have just ripped it out (but that was an easy fix on our end...we just got a new aluminum pipe for the dryer).

The team put plastic sheeting down to protect the furniture on the first floor where they had to come in and out of to get to the basement (we don't have basement access).  They also did a cursory cleaning before they left each day, which I appreciated.  It wasn't a deep clean, but that wasn't expected either. 

Jesse offered, kindly, to help us find some contractors who could help replace the drywall/studs and retile our floor; however, his contacts were all busy and weren't able to help us.  We ended up contacting some contractors through Angie's list to help us return our basement to its finished self. 

It has been about a week and half after the work was completed, and the system seems to be working (and we have had some crazy rain storms).  Although there is a puddle of water that collects around the lid of the sump pump, which worries me slightly.  I have called Jesse to ask him if that's normal, but otherwise the work was well done!

With the exception of two of them, they were from another country and so, they didn't speak a lot of English. One was kind of a translator of the guys who were working. They worked from 7 in the morning to 7 at the night, four different guys. They did a great job. We have not had any problems with the basement ever since. They did a wonderful job! I have told other people about them since. I would use them in future."
