Once I agreed to have the water heater replaced, the inspectors left and indicated that the install technicians would be over to perform the work. The installers arrived within an hour or so and replaced the water heater. They did excellent work and upgraded a few connections in the process. I would recommend this company for plumbing work."

"Regal Bath and Kitchens did a beautiful job remodeling our master bathroom. We wanted to get rid of the bathtub, the tiny shower, and the 90’s style lower vanity with the massive mirror. We didn’t even think there was room to do all that we wanted but their end result made the room look larger than it was . Best of all, this was at a price we could afford. Rich helped us get things started by meeting at the showroom to see styles on display and to pick out tiles for the floor and walls. We could see the samples for the vanity, the sinks and the fixtures. It made it easier to coordinate things when we could see how everything looked together, and we were able to select exactly what we wanted in each area. We did have to choose a second tile by going to Floor and Décor later on because our wall tile was out of stock, but the replacement one was beautiful and the sales lady there also helped us coordinate things. The remodel included removing a wall and some other decorative arches in the bathroom. They had to move the water pipes for the shower. The shower included so many nice features – a bench, a toe pick near the shower heads, two shower heads – a rain style one and a hand held one – a switch to use one or both heads at the same time, a niche for toiletries, and the controls to turn the water on near the entrance to the shower so it was warm by the time we got into the shower. They also agreed to install new light fixtures, towel racks and mirrors which we purchased elsewhere. They suggested that we hire others to paint the walls for us. They did an exception job with the plumbing. The slope of the floor in the shower is just right so that all the water runs into the drain and the drain is big enough that it has never gotten clogged. Whenever, we had a problem or concern, Rich was reassuring saying that he would take care of everything we wanted. The crew was proud of the work they did and were always cheerful to have working in our home. John was especially careful of keeping the dust off our rugs and in the master bathroom area. Every day he carefully covered the beds with plastic so they could be used at night. Jesus worked exceptionally hard getting the tiles on the bottom of the shower installed. The end result has received a “Wow” from everyone who sees it. We would hire them again to remodeled our hall bath."

"I had a VERY difficult time getting the guy to show up.  Every time I called he set a time to come to the house, but then didn't show up and didn't call to let me know he wasn't coming.  I finally forced the issue on the day he actually came.  Even then, I tried to give him directions but he said he didn't need them - only to comment to me when he arrived that he would have been here sooner but it was really hard to find, and he wasn't used to coming all the way over to the West Valley.
Once he got here and got going, he worked hard and steadily to get the work done.  In the process of replacing the circulation device he noted that the shut-off valve was leaking (which was true) and said he could replace that, as well, because he had the part with him.  I agreed it should be replaced.  In fact, I asked if he had enough parts to replace all of the shut-off values throughout the house for the bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room and two outside faucets, as all were the originals from 1995 and I didn't want to have to worry about issues with any of them.  It was fairly late in the day by that point and I offered that he could come back another day to do the work - IF he would actually show up as agreed.  He said he could stay and get all of the work done that day, if that was OK.  I agreed and he replaced a total of 15 inside shut-off valves and supply lines, and two outside faucets.  His cost was about double what it would have cost me to do it myself, but worth getting it all done at once and without having to run for parts and supplies - not to mention the crawling around under the sinks and toilets.
When that was all completed we looked at the water softener.  He assessed that it was an old model, a design that he said was inferior and should be replaced.  He said it should be left in the stand-by mode until an new one was installed.  He explained the new type that he thought it should be replaced with and quoted me a price of around $950 to $1,100.  I said I would have to consider that and declined.
I later called American Home Water (AHW) regarding the softener and received GREAT service from them (separate full review).  I found them on Angie's List as a recipient of a 2012 Super Service Award.  The AHW technician examined the softener and provided me an orientation regarding how it worked and the operation of the one in our house.  He said it was a good model, was working properly and only needed the stand-by lever turned to activate the system.  I was happy to pay the $75 fee for the system check and briefing on the equipment.  
So, while the guy from American Discount did an adequate job and was a hard and efficient worker once he finally came to do the work, I was greatly disappointed with him concerning the matter of the water softener.  Based on how difficult it was to get him to come to do the work, as well as his assessment regarding the softener, I would not use the company and again and would not recommend it to others.

"I contacted 3 Shimy's Home Maintenance & Repair because I had several small works of repairs and installation to do very quickly, following the move-out of our tenants. Michael has returned my call promptly, and he was able to squeeze into his schedule quickly to help me. The next day he was at the house to do the work. Also, I needed someone to clean the house throughout very quickly. I asked Michael if he could recommend someone. Michael has contacted a lady with whom he often works and does an excellent job; she changed her work schedule to accommodate because Michael asked her. She arrived at the same time that Michael with all its equipment and its products, ready to do the work! That was awesome! Thank you Michael for your initiative and being pro-active. Michael has installed blinds, re-screen patio screen door, repaired garage entry door, installed dead bolt on garage door, clean out drain and install aerator on all faucets, removed microwave and haul. He did the work in an extremely efficient manner. Michael went pick-up the over the range microwave and the dishwasher at the store and installed them and haul off the dishwasher. Excellent work and cleanup perfect. I asked Michael to provide me with invoices and he has sent them the next day. Being myself a certified General Contractor in industrial, commercial and residential since 26 years, in Québec, Canada, I can assess very quickly the skills of a subcontractor. I asked Michael an estimate to install a Bathroom Vanity Top of 104 inches with 2 bowls, and I received the estimate the next day. He will install when the order will be ship at store. Michael is personable, knowledgeable in many trades, very professional, efficient and concerned about details, work clean and it cleans up once the work is completed. The service provided was high-quality, with excellent time-on-task. I highly recommend him."

I put a 'B' for the price because I have no idea what this type of service usually costs (I did not shop around), but I know plumbing fixes are generally expensive, so I figure that the price charged is comparatively fair.
