"Customer Svc (calling into the office for scheduling/ followup) huge pain. The scheduling process is tedious. They pummel you with a barrage of emails, texts, phone calls. Their price is double other reasonable specific providers vs local handyman providers. I went with these guys based on their claim they *fix/repair* any minor defects. My oversized gutters were new a few years b4 service. I cleaned the gutters myself up until Ned Stevens work. I thought the check and fix was a good decision. As a result of this work, I now have downspouts separating from the gutter that I cannot fix myself. I expected much more for $190. Their *deals* $7 off , 10% off offer no value in my opinion."

"Jake came out today to clean my gutters and downspouts. He was very professional and thorough and performed some repair work as well. Despite being there for several hours to address my overflowing gutters, he did not increase the charges from the quoted amount. I highly recommend this company and would hire them again!"

"Vince called me back within hours of my sending him a message through Angie's List.  Even though he does not list Montgomery County as one of his service areas, he was completely willing to help us out.  In my message, I had requested the work to be done onsite but Vince explained why having him pick up the generator and take it back to his shop to work on it would make more sense.  His charge for pick-up and delivery back to us was only $34.95.
When Vince came to pick up the generator, he was on time and was able to give me a ballpark cost for the work (which turned out to be very accurate).  He said that he could get it back to us in 3-4 days but I asked if he could do it faster as there was a snow storm predicted for the next day or so.  Vince agreed to a shorter time line and ultimately got the generator back to us within 1 day!  There ended up being no snow storm but we got our generator back in working condition - along with a booklet of care instructions, a copy of our invoice, and a service history form.  A few days later we received a hand-written Thank You card in appreciation of our business.  I can't imagine how the service could have been any better.  We will use Vince for any future small engine repairs/maintenance we have and highly recommend him and his services.

"Ben and his team were incredibly responsive- came out to give us an estimate, was great at explaining our options, took pictures, etc...  He did not pressure us to make a decision quickly, but when we did had a crew out to our house within 48 hrs to replace our roof.  He brought a large crew and they finished the job in one day.  He took photos for us of the roof and the repairs so we could see exactly what they were doing.  They were incredibly friendly and did not inconvenience us at all while they were working.  This is a top notch company with honest owners- I would definitely use them again and recommend to all of our friends in the DC area.

"This year I decided to bite the bullet and stop "bandaiding" the exterior of my house, but to truly repair or replace. I am in an end unit townhouse that gets direct everything! There are no trees nor another house to buffer the sun, wind, rain, or hail. I put a request on Angi and American Home Contractors was one of many companies that contacted me. I spent a few days meeting and getting quotes for the work, which was originally only new siding and wrapping the exposed wood. Honestly, I don't know what number Alex Amos was in the appointments, but he was the LAST ONE! He won me over to say the least! Alex Amos is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, listened, understood my vision, and recreated it better than I had imagined! I ended up getting new siding, new windows, a new storm door, new gutters and all the exposed wood wrapped. I cannot say enough about the GREAT EXPERIENCE: Great Price Great Customer Service Great WORK Great Timing Great Financing I fell back in LOVE with my home! I am a very PROUD Homeowner again! The compliments have not stopped. If you see someone driving by my house, backing up and looking, it's ME."

"We reached out to a couple of the local window/doors companies in the area.  We listened fairly to each person present their products to us, and give us their sales pitches.  We advised each sales person of the situation of the water penetrating into the house/walls all over the front of the house and the basement.  A couple of them told us we probably only needed to caulk existing windows/doors while sitting at the table talking to us, and still presented pricing and window/door options for the areas affected.  I'd have to say that Supremes rep, Albert, before even talking numbers and products to us asked for us to show him all the areas affected (inside and outside parts of the house).  So we showed him the drywall areas we had to pull off the wall and when we told him water got into the basement also he asked to see that.  To this point to me i was like he is just trying to figure what he can upsell us on with his product line--as most sales people do.  Well Albert started offering suggestions to stop the leaks, and even told us we didn't need to replace the door or bay window especially since pricing was a major concernt to us after just moving into the house.  He did not recommend replacing them due to the significant costs and to just caulk some of the areas and rewrap some of the other areas --to which he pointed exactly where to place the caulk and said I could do it myself fairly easy.  He presented his windows and advised of current upgrade to triple pane.  We have seen a few presentations on windows and at a certain point on the consumer side they all really sound the same after a while, especially when replacing a leaking wood window from 1988.  So anything these days should be better than what we have.  Like others said in previous reviews he wrote the whole contract out, left it with us to review and compare.  Other companies left their numbes on the back of a business card.
Windows came in the allotted time frame of 4-6 weeks, we had thanksgiving week through the 4-6week range so they may have gotten to us sooner if the holiday week wasn't there.  Installation was scheduled for monday.  Sunday they called for rain in the forecast, we got a call from Albert asking to reschedule to Tuesday or Wednesday pending on the weather.  I had no problem with that since the last thing we want is more water IN the walls.  Crew showed up on Tuesday as expected, little later than time frame given however in Balt/Dc area we allow for extra time when crossing either beltways at rush hour so not really an issue on my end knowing their travel locations.  They did seem to pass on lunch, or ate when they were working...i didn't see them stop for lunch even if they did.
I was home for the installation on both days and after the first day was not all impressed with how the windows were looking.  Saw lots of gaps and just very unfinished and drafty.  HOWEVER had to keep telling myself that that was only day 1 and they were finishing up on day 2.  Day 2 the windows started looking much better with them sealing them in.  So my advice to others having windows installed, try not to watch the middle process of the installation because it will make you uneasy seeing the gaps between the windows and the walls.  They did fill with insulation foam and trim pieces and caulk to make them MUCH more presentable--so homeoners watch begning  and look again at the end or esle you will not sleep easy thinking they will stay that way. :)
The finished product looks much nicer and the extra areas they wrapped and caulked for us in the deal came out nice as well.  The workers that came (Eric, Joe and Chris) were very personable and courteous to a homeowners needs... They offer to take shoes off and we had dogs so they were aware when going in/out the doors that the dogs were trying to get out with them as well.
All in all I would probably use these guys again for the remaining windows of the house, if we ever NEED to replace them....or can afford to. I like the guarantee we have with the product and installation (if needed).  I feel we won't have any future leaks with these windows, but if we do I feel confident they will be by to repair them.
