"don't know much about auto service, but they seemed quite honest. <br /> did the maintenance. saw tires were wearing evenly so didn't need rotation. Checked air filters and were clean, didn't need to be replaced. I GUARANTEE Honda would have done all 3 <br /> they did analyze the brakes and said rotors need adjusting but brakes were close to needing replacement as well, likely at next routine maintenance. recommended we deal with it until next visit so we didn't get charged twice for break work. could have easily fixed the problem this time but were willing to defer the service and the business. that said a lot to me. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"It went well.  He called and went to Simmon's Supply to get an O-ring for the filter but that wasn't the problem.  The filter would have cost too much to replace so he suggested I just remove it which is what he did.  I had some copper pipe and he used my pipe to fill in the piece that was needed.  He also had to reattach a drain pipe that had become detached from the drain on my sink in the cellar.  All this took him approximately an hour.   He came when he said he would and I was pleased with the work he did. <br />"

"Excellent. I contacted Lou through Angis's list and he called me within 24 hours to set up a date to give me an estimate on the work that needed to be done. He arrived on time and looked over the work that needed to be done. He said he would e-mail me an estimate for the work which he did a couple of days later. I felt it was a fair price and told him he had the job. On Friday Lou was right on time and completed the work the same day and also removed all the old pipes and cleaned up the work are. I'm very satisfied with Lou's work and will use him again if I have any plumbing issues."

"I needed to plumb a new whole house generator with natural gas, so why not plan on converting everything to natural gas as the appliance needs replacing (propane hot water and stove) right????? I called TOM'S PLUMBING after doing a search on ANGIE'S LIST for a professional. I figured I would get 5 quotes, narrow it down to 3 and then really compare the 3 and decide on one. I did contact 5 professionals and all came to the house and reviewed the job. So, I decided on TOM's PLUMBING after reviewing the 3 and even with a couple of quick revisions to the job, we were able to schedule it in for the following week. This one point was very important to me as we were going to be leaving for vacation, and if I could get this project done, one less thing for me to think about. Tom and his associate Chris showed up right on time on the scheduled day, which was a hot one. They went right to work regardless of the heat, and completed on time. One way I judge a service is whether or not i would hire them again. In regards to TOM's PLUMBING, yes, I would CERTAINLY hire them again, and in fact, I'm already contemplating a couple of new projects. In summary, TOM's PLUMBING is as professional as they come and yet, small enough to be able to work with a home owner for any and all revisions, I mean, we all know things come up. Tom was always available for any questions or concerns and I knew I was in good hands. so not only would I hire them again, I would recommend TOM's PLUMBING to family and friends, which is really what we all care about!!!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Pascoag, RI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
