"Linda and Ron were terrific. Ron came out and measured within days of contact and showed me a brochure of what my window would look like upon installation. All work was clean and all joints and seams caulked tight."

"I must say that I read the reviews and was impressed by them. That was my sole reason for choosing Eastern Glass Block. I spoke with Ron (the owner) who immediately set up a time for someone to come do measurements which was February 25th at 12. That morning Ron called and asked if it could possibly be pushed back til 1:30. That was fine with me. The gentleman was slightly late but it was due to traffic which I completely understand. He told me Ron had fussed at him but he had tried his best to get there on time. He was very nice and had me laughing. I spoke back to Ron after the measurements who gave me the price and stated his guys would be there March 1st. I was very happy with the date because I desperately needed the windows and thought it may take longer. On that morning Ron called to let me know what time the installers (Pedro and Carlos) would be there. They were definitely on time and were very friendly. Once the work was completed, I was asked to make sure it was done the way I wanted it. I was and am very happy and pleased with the look and overall professionalism from Ron and his workers. I am definitely going to use Eastern Glass Block again and would refer them! <br />"

"Working with Anthony was a pleasure. He was always responsive and helpful throughout the process. He provided project ideas and cost effective ways to save money while having a high end look. He was also extremely respectful of changes in plans/finishing details and still had the ability to compete the project on time. The job included leveling old floor, installation of new tile, pantry/ cabinets, butcher block cabinets (and stain), shiplap walls and paint. This room was unfinished and came out way better than our wildest expectations. Anthony is extremely professional and timely. He is meticulous and takes pride in the final look and customer satisfaction as though he was working on his own home."

"I highly recommend Alexander Home Improvement. Firstly, Marvin Sorto, who quarterbacked every aspect of the job is one of the most honorable businessmen I have ever met. I was out of town due to an illness in the family while Marvin and his crew completed installation of the new roof. Marvin refused to accept payment for the job from my wife. Marvin wanted my inspection and approval first! In addition,Marvin promptly and personally responded to every call. I have used Marvin and Alexander Home Improvement in the past and have recommended them to my friends. Alexander Home Improvement installed a new roof and insulated and sided the whole house. I am very happy I used them. Their prices are reasonable and the quality of their work is great."

"From the first contact with the provider everything went very well. I first called John to schedule an appointment and he picked right up. We were able to discuss what the job required and set up a time for him to come to do the work. <br /> John arrived when he said he would and had everything he needed to do the job in terms of tools. I had a big deal from 2 hours of Handyman Services from Angie's List. He was able to complete the job in the 2 hour window specified in the deal. <br /> The job was done professionally and looks great. The clean up was excellent and I could not be more pleased to have this improvement completed by DIR Home Consulting & Handyman. <br /> My experience from start to finish was excellent. I would definitely use this provider again and recommend him for big or little jobs you need done. <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Passaic, NJ

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
