I wouldn't recommend another company to do pavers, concrete, or landscaping work. The attention to detail was absolutely amazing! They transformed the front and the back of my home with beautiful pavers, hand cutting each piece and laying each one of them so symmetrically. I've had at least half a dozen neighbors stop in to see their work and ask for a business card! And the clean up...my goodness. "My husband and I came across 7th State Builders online. Eddie came out to our home for our initial consultation. He was punctual and professional. He listened to our vision and took the time to draw out a plan and explain the process. He was very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions. We decided to do a big project at our home. For the back: a rebuild and waterproofing of our previous deck and a large patio to go underneath it with a fire pit and sitting wall. The front of our house needed some repairs so we had them redo our sidewalk in the same patio pavers from the back. The whole area in front of our garage was cut out and they put in new concrete and leveled it out. They rerouted our gutters to prevent flooding as the previous design was doing damage to our foundation. The owner, Chase, was very hands on and kept us updated the whole time. He frequently made sure we were happy with the way things were going. The whole team made this project an enjoyable experience. Iâ ll admit, my husband and I can sometimes be difficult people to please-But wow!! They really knocked it out of the park for us! 7th Stateâ s precision and talent is unmatched. You are truly working with people that know what they are doing and they are the best at what they are doing. Communication from start to finish was consistent and open. "Steve Norfolk and his crew dug down to the footing and applied the waterproof material a section at a time.  The original plan was to dig the entire area first and then apply the waterproof material all at the same time.  However daily torrential rains turned the area into a sea of mud, so he decided to do it a section at a time to minimize problems associated with the rain.  He had to break up a concrete slab (porch) for 1/2 the front, and approximately 25 feet of driveway next to the house.  Progress was slow due to the rain and mud, but Steve steadfastly pursued the completion of the job despite the setbacks.  Although justifiably discouraged by the rain and lack of progress, he exhibited a positive "can do" attitude and kept at it.  The finished product was professionally done.  Backfill and all concrete were properly completed, and grass seed applied.  Steve is a conscientious professional who knows his business and can be relied upon to do the work he says he will accomplish.  I would use him again in a heartbeat.

"The company was responsive - gave me a same-week appointment.  Adolfo came to my house, assessed the work to be done, and quoted me a fair price.  He did the work right at that time.  The job was done well - it looks professional and neat.   He even colored the concrete so the patches would better match the existing concrete.  I am pleased with the work.

"I contacted them via phone and left a message describing the job I wanted done . They phoned me a couple of days later and asked about the size of the tree and the location so they would know
what tools were needed. They said that sometimes they need to use the truck to pull the roots up. I gave them a description of the tree and its location and they quoted me a price of $210 over the phone. I sent them a picture via my iphone of the tree and the road in front of my house. They reviewed the picture and said they could do the job. I really appreciated discussing the job with them on the phone as another company I called did not.They said they could do it the next day in the late morning and I told them to come on out! They arrived at my house around 10 am and they were able to make quick work of the job. They  first cut the tree down with a chain saw and then dug the roots out with a pick axe and did not have to use the truck.They didn't damage any of the surrounding plants in my flower  bed. They also dumped some topsoil I had bought into the hole left by the roots. They took all debris with them and cleaned up my sidewalk afterward. They were very friendly and efficient. They did a great job!

"Due to rotted wood, my mailbox fell down on a Friday. Around 5:00pm, I sent a note to Mailbox Xpress stating that I wanted to have a new Mailbox and a new post installed. My plan was to be added to their list of work for the following week. However, I received a call from Jimi that Friday night, and spoke with him again on Saturday, about the type of mailbox post that I wanted. Also, I sent Jimi a picture showing the color of both my house and the old mailbox post. I pointed out to Jimi that I had no expectations for him to install the mailbox that weekend. However, Jimi made my case a priority because my mailbox had fallen down. He matched the color of my house and installed the new mailbox that Sunday. And, it was a tough job getting the old concrete out of the ground. So, from a flyer left on my old mailbox 5-6 years ago, what did I get by contacting Mailbox Xpress? I got excellent customer service and excellent workmanship. The new mailbox with a new post is fine."

"We met with Glenn and Josh a few times before beginning the project. They had a nice professional proposal and were always responsive on the phone. They preferred phone and mail over email but that was fine with me.   I priced out about 8 different masonry companies since the price for this foundation and slab was all over the map (range from 9k to 24k).  J&G was slightly higher than the lowest company but their customer service, reputation on Angieslist, and responsiveness made us select them.  We had a few weather delays.  Glenn was great at explaining what they were doing and when.  If I asked them to tidy up the site, they took care of it right away.
 
They laid the rebar for the footers and while we waited for inspection, the rain made a big mess of everything.  After waiting for the ground to dry out, they cleaned up the holes and removed all the soft mud.  The rebar was all put back into place and we were able to pour the concrete and have it set up.  We also had a piece of rebar attached to the footer rebar for a footer electrical ground.  Once our electrician comes out, the grounding wire can be tied in to the rebar. 
After that week, things moved a bit faster with building the block walls with anchor bolts, backfilling, adding a load of gravel for grading, and finally pouring the slab.  In their proposal, Glenn had written that they would do the 6" wire mesh in the slab but then proposed having the concrete supplier add fiber reinforcement to the concrete at the plant instead.  The inspector was okay with this change.  My understanding is that while the fiber reinforced concrete is slightly more expensive, it's less labor.
It's been about 3 weeks and we are very satisfied with the work J&G performed.  Other contractors have all said it looks like they did a great job."

"WOW and Amazing, After posting a request for an estimate on Angie’s List, AC Paving came with full service and a great price for a huge job. Our driveway had not been touched in over 20 plus years and was in some dire need of restoration. Some of the issues we had stemmed from root growth, to chipping and don't even get me started on the sorry state of our culvert pipe. We have owned our house for eight years and have done some major tree removal in this time span. During this time the root situation was getting to the point you couldn't walk outside without tripping over parts of the driveway where the roots had come pushed up the asphalt. We had been looking at getting this done for the past few years but it we just couldn’t justify spending the money on such a project that we didn’t need right away. This was until our kids started college and we started traveling to watch them play football. Spending a small fortune on hotels, dog sitters, and eating out every night was not helping us get where we wanted to be in life. So we bought an RV, we brought her home and parked her in the crappy driveway and immediately know we needed to fix what we had been putting off for all these years. Like I said I requested an estimate from Angie’s List for 6 other paving companies and to this day have yet to year from them. So, 4 STARS for them on watching where the customers are requesting services from. Chad gave me a call and we talked about what I need and was looking for. His willingness to meet myself and my wife after work was a testament of his professionalism testament to the company that he is working for. After seeing the scoop of the job came back with a price that about knocked my wife and I upside down, sideways, inside out and backwards. After we regained our composure, he took the time to explain in detail what they would be doing for and how they would be correcting the driveway terror. It all came together and with a little luck from Mother Nature we would have our new driveway on Monday, but NOOO Mother Nature was going to put me off till Wednesday. That was okay, we received a call Sunday evening for a dryer day. The crews showed up around 9am with Chad ahead of them painting the new driveway lines. After a full 9 hours of work not only on my driveway but an additional two drives on our street, it was completed a new 78foot by 26foot new monster driveway with new culvert pipe installed. THIS THING IS HUGE some friends have said we have more driveway then yard now. We’ll all most. Chad worked with us to determine how much space we needed between property lines, in addition to how much space we needed to open the RV doors and still be able to get in and out with out hitting the house as we come in and out. We have posted pictures on Facebook as well as text messages to our family to show the before and after. We have had multiple request for AC Paving’s information and nothing but complements on the look. Overall, I would give a 5 STAR review to AC Paving their outstanding customer service, pricing, quality of work, and the guarantee are well work with my wife, and I paid for. If your looking for quality work, on any paving project you have you have to call AC Paving and talk to Chad."

"They were very responsive and super friendly. They showed up when they said they would and started the work right away. I needed a ramp built for my dog because he couldn't handle the steps anymore. They understood the urgency of this and immediately began working on it. When it was almost completed i had to change it mid stream because I misjudged the ramp incline. They didn't have any problem with my last minute change, and they immediately tore out the ramp and built a new one without a single complaint. They were very accommodating and made sure I was happy with all their work. I will definitely hire them again for other work I plan on my house!
