"Joey D, James, and Talib were hard workers who took care to protect the areas that were not impacted by their work. They cleaned up the work area very thoroughly. The work included removing dry wall and paneling from the exterior walls of the basement. They trenched around the exterior, installed 2 sumps and drainage channels, replaced 6 window wells, added new drain to the sump in the exterior stairwell, covered exterior walls with moisture barrier, and repaired the concrete. All work was completed in the 5 days scheduled. They communicated well and answered all my questions and concerns. Joey D, James, and Talib make a great team, are employees of JES, and will do a good job for you. They know what they are doing."

"Lux foundation repair did a wonderful job at my home. I have 4 pipes coming into my home that had deteriorating seals around the pipe. The seals had deteriorated to the point that I had a large plastic box under the pipes so that after every rain I would collect the water that otherwise would have destroyed our finished basement. After small storms, I would collect a couple gallons, after very large storms, I would collect over 8 gallons of water in the box. I spoke to one contractor who suggested excavating the outside of the home. No small task since the pipes enter about 6’ below grade and it would have involved removing several established plants. I was surprised with the estimator from Lux informed me that they could solve the problem from inside the home. I was surprised that the estimator was very confident that he could not only fix the problem, but guarantee that it would fix the problem. The work team arrived on time, quickly did their work and left. When the next storm arrived, I checked the box….no water at all. Was it painless? Yes. Was it worth the money? Yes."

They offered sound advice on maintaining a septic system, solved the sewer gas smell by explaining what we should do to maintain the system (they did not have to do any plumbing work on the toilet), then took some time to walk the property, crawl under the house, and probe to accurately identify the location of the septic tank. They were professional, friendly, and explained everything they were doing and what WE should do as home owners. My husband and I were very pleased with the service and advice. When it is time to have our septic system pumped we will use Powell's Plumbing. And, if we have any plumbing issues at all we will call Powell's Plumbing. "I had a 50-year-old house with a cinderblock basement wall that had water slowly coming through. I researched the various firms that did waterproofing and had three highly rated firms come out for an estimate. The first contractor didn’t even bring a flashlight and just looked around and said to keep an eye on it. The second gentlemen did provide detailed estimate and carefully explained the problem. Randy, the owner, from Chamberlin Washington provided a similar diagnosis and estimate. His estimate was not only a little less expensive but he looked at the entire house and found other things that could use some maintenance. This is what I liked about Randy – he looked at the whole house and discovered several smaller things that should be fixed to avoid issues down the road. These were all things I knew about already but I’m glad someone took the time to examine the entire house and not just the one issue I was having. We had then not only waterproof the outside wall but also fill the expansion joints in our patio and seal one basement window as well as re-point some mortar joints in the brink chimney. When the crew came they went to work. They also did an admirable job protecting our plants. An old section of of a 6' high stockade fence had to be removed and I bough a new section and the crew was happy to put that up. When they water tested the wall they found a small leak. They re-did the sealant and that did the trick. Randy came out and supervised critical parts of the job. He was great to work with and happily fixed a few small things at the end. Randy really cares about doing the job right. I am 100% pleased with the work they did. I watched over much of the repair and everything was done correct and by the book. Overall I can't say enough about how pleased I was with Chamberlin-Washington and their work. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone."

He was the only person who really nailed what was wrong. I had gotten several estimates; but this guy nailed it right on. "Before hiring LevelLift, I contacted a friend of mine who owns a Structural Engineering firm, but only work commercial not residential.  So after receiving at least (5) estimates, we agreed that LevelLift was the company to hire.    <br /> Met with Paul Mauer of Levelift Systems, he was very nice, patient and professional along with his team.  Received a proposal for the work noted below: <br /> The work in the basement  included but not limited too grout beneath concrete, excavate & installed timber walls, <br /> raise window well & installed standard home-improvement store grade cover, raise grade, furnished & installed discharge pipes for down spouts, installed seven steel beams, new interior drainage, repaired damaged mortar joints, installed 12" high cast-in-place concrete curb between steel beams and they took care of all the Montgomery County permits and inspections.  In addition, mobilization, site preparation and  furnished & installed discharge pipe for sump pump. <br /> In addition, Paul recommended a very good Structural Engineer to take care of the structural drawings. <br /> The contract payment terms were broken down into four payments with the option of using major credit cards and we have a ten (10) year warranty. <br /> Paul and his team were very responsive, punctual, and professional and the quality of the work was excellent.  We have not had any problems in the basement since 2013.  They are highly recommended.
