He didn't nag us to make a decision quickly or pressure us to buy more than what we wanted/needed like we experienced with other companies.  The installers were great and did beautiful work in the time they promised.  Our property is difficult to put up and move ladders because we have a ton of plants near the house.  The guys took extra precautions to ensure they didn't damage anything which was much appreciated. Clean up was amazing - I exected to find nails/screws for weeks after they were done, but only found 1 or 2. "I hired Paragon a year and a half ago in 2016 to remodel a small galley kitchen and bathroom in a one bedroom in Manhattan. Overall, I thought they did a really nice job and would also have rated them a B+ (like one other rater had suggested) had this rating been available. I enjoyed working with Paul B, and Kyle, and the rest of the crew. They were professional, hard working, and a bunch of good guys. I think their labor pricing was reasonable based on my other comparisons. While I haven't done any remodeling before, I assume there is always some hiccups along the way. Process-wise, I believe there could have been slightly more communication/written organization rather than relying on verbal (e.g., the initial kitchen back splash was tiled staggered though I had asked for it to be stacked. This was easily corrected but it would have brought more comfort had everything been in writing). I also felt the plumber could have been a bit more professional. I had bought a shower system that didn't seem terribly complicated to me but he didn't seem to understand how the system worked, scaring me to thinking that I ordered the wrong parts. Eventually he got it but I was surprised that he wasn't familiar with it. The toilet also wasn't set properly initially on the wax ring so there was some leaking initially with the toilet. That said, they were great at coming back and resetting and fixing the issue per their guarantee. I tend to be a picky customer in all aspects of my life. My bar is pretty high so i did ask them to redo some of the tiling in the bathroom as it wasn't as smooth as I had expected. Again, they did reset it and generally had a good attitude about it. All in all, I liked the folks at Paragon, and appreciated Tom letting me pick the specific material I wanted for the project. I thought the pricing was reasonable, the crew worked hard, and they were fairly responsive to my high bar. And 1+ years out, the renovation is still good with no signs of any problems."

"I left a message with Seci to inquire about a quote to replace my roof. Keith got back to me the same day and we made an appointment for an estimate. Keith came to the house and thoroughly explained the roofing system. I knew this would be a big and pricey job as my roof had the original cedar roof plus 2 or 3 layers of asphalt shingles...and it all had to go. I got quite a few quotes for the roof. Seci wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive either. I felt their pricing was competitive and had a good feeling about the service they would provide. Achilles came out and did a walk through and we moved forward with scheduling the job. On the day the work was to start, the crew was at the house by 7:30 am. They worked 12 hour days and were very efficient with their time. Achilles and Keith were always available for questions and checked on the job regularly. After the gutters were installed, they made sure I was satisfied with the entire job."

"Let me start by saying, I would recommend Platinum Carpentry for any work that you need on your home!! Despite the usual issues that I believe would come up in any construction project, they were fantastic to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for a project and I hope to do so in the future for a few other things we'd like to get done on our home. The pricing was realistic, fair and reasonable. They (Lisa and Saul) were both completely responsive when contacting them. They answered all questions and made sure to discuss any changes to the original plans. They were both pleasant to deal with though the whole project. They did a great job and our new 'dining room' looks wonderful and makes for an awesome addition to our home. It's been 6 months since the project was done and we have had a few minor issues (NOT due to work quality) and we've already been told that they will take a look at the issues and send the electrician back to take a look at the issue with the light fixture. Again, not a reflection of work quality as I always believe that with construction there are unforeseen issues that can occur but since Platinum Carpentry guarantees their work for a year we knew we could count on them to not just finish a project and leave but to handle anything that comes out within that time frame. Now to completely lay out as much as possible, I feel obligated to share the only disappointing part of our project. The only thing that didn't work out so well for us was our carpet installation. The people that they have come in and do carpet (I believe they subcontract for this kind of work) did not install the carpet on our stairs properly. I'm not sure why but the tacks were sticking up in the stairs after it was initially installed. I called Saul/Lisa and the next day the carpet people came back. Again, there were still issues, and at that point the owner Lisa had to come back and deal directly with the carpet people making sure that all tacks were hit down. At the time it seemed like it was ok although the stairs didn't have the soft, comfy feeling to it like the regular carpet in the upstairs bedroom did. I could still feel something under my foot when walking down the steps. Unfortunately now 6 months later that issue has gotten worse and you can feel something on quite a few steps when walking down the steps which is disappointing since we spent a decent amount of money and it makes it a bit frustrating to know it still is an issue. We have reached out to the company though and I'm hopeful this will get looked at when they come to check out the few minor issues we are having."
