"The work was done properly and when some additional jobs were added, Mr Grant went out of his way to get subcontractor's in to fix the added jobs promptly. I was very happy with the results and would recommend Steven Grant Construction to anyone who needed a prompt quote and a properly done job. He took the extra steps to finish my job within the quote so I stayed on budget."

"We recently had a major plumbing issue in the main level of our home and after being terribly unhappy with the company that did the initial dry out, we decided to have Kelley Construction do our repairs. When they came into our home they discovered that the other company didn't dry it out properly and we were left with a home that was uninhabitable. Kelley Construction helped us prove our home was unsafe and made sure we were immediately removed to a place that was safe while our home was properly dried out and repairs were being made. Jeff has been available to answer all of my questions promptly and make the process much less stressful than it could have been."

"We really enjoy our new toolshed. This is not just any old shed in your backyard, this is a shed the size of a small garage. We had a particular set-up that we needed the shed to fit in our yard to accommodate our fenced-in area. Cornerstone was able to create a spec of the new shed to our requests including double-doors and windows. We also requested a pitched roof where we can have additional loft storage. It was amazing the transformation. All was done within a short period of time and the Cornerstone team worked with us all the way. We bid several other construction companies and Cornerstone's bid provided us with more of what we wanted (tear down existing and rebuild new structure) without the huge price-tag others had quoted to "renovate the existing structure". I will definitely use Cornerstone Builders again for my future remodels and builds. Great job, great service, and attention to detail."

"It took a little longer than anticipated based on conflicts with other jobs (somewhat anticipated), but there was sufficient in-project flexibility, the work was high quality, there were no surpirses and Justin is trustworthy and a pleasure to deal with.

We brought him back to do some stairwell follow-on work and while we were disappointed we conuldn't come up with the right transition pieces for the foyer, this was really more of a manufacturer issue.

We settled up for both projects fairly returning extra product through his contractor's retail contacts and having him come back some months later to inspect how things held up. We are please with the craftsmanship, especially with Justin;s creativity and meticulous nature with the other transition pieces.

Bottom line, Justin is talented and trustworthy."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Peoria Heights, IL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
