"I paid this company $600 to test the air in my detached garage. The results showed Cladosporium, which many professionals told me is extremely common. What happened next was one of the most uncomfortable experiences Ive ever had with a home-service company. They sent me a remediation proposal for over $45,000, and in my personal opinion the scope, tone, and sheer intensity of the warnings felt completely disproportionate to the situation. The estimate was filled with pages of dramatic health claims that, to me, came across as fear tactics rather than professional guidance. When I asked questions, the owner was extremely rude and dismissive on the phone. The whole thing felt pushy and uncomfortable. After leaving an honest review, things escalated in a way that shocked me. The owner contacted me and offered a refund only if I signed a notarized disclaimer that he drafted. I personally found that very unusual, and I chose not to sign anything. What concerned me even more was what happened next: after I declined to sign the document, a negative review suddenly appeared online about my wifes business at our home address claiming she had done work for him and stolen $600 from him. In my experience, this was completely untrue. My wife has never worked for him in any capacity. In my personal opinion, it felt retaliatory and deeply unprofessional. I ended up getting several second opinions from other mold professionals, all of whom felt the quote I received was excessive for what was found. Based on my experience with the customer service, the tone of the estimate, and the way things unfolded afterward, I would strongly recommend that other homeowners get multiple quotes before agreeing to anything. In my personal view, the way this situation was handled was alarming, unprofessional, and not in the best interest of the customer."
