"They were absolutely amazing to work with. Our house is 118 years old and they hadn't been updated since the 70s. They treated my home like their own. I am beyond happy with the end result"

"Scott not only performed the repair work requested but provided advice about other home issues that did not require repair.  (For example, flickering kitchen lights were caused by my use of CFL bulbs for lights on a dimmer switch.)  He and his co-worker were friendly and courteous (and did not make me feel incompetent because I don't know much about home maintenance issues), and they cleaned up the work areas after they were finished.   <br /> It was initially challenging to schedule the work because of my location and work schedule, but Scott was persistent and the repairs were not urgent.  I will definitely use Home Aid Handyman in the future - and with a 40-year-old home, there will be a future.  I highly recommend this business. <br /> <br />"

"We contacted our insurance agent.  They sent an adjuster out who told us the amount they would pay. We contacted 3 people to give us estimates. Haldeman's Construction gave us the best estimate working with the amount the insurance paid.  They gave us samples of materials and colors of roofing and told us the quality of each.  We set a date approximately 2 months from the estimate date to come do the work.  They came right on time to do the work.  They tore off the old materials and inspected the roof for other damage.  Put on the new roof materials, clean up all old materials including the roofing nails that dropped around the house.  We paid them and they left. <br />"

"They are always on time, professional and hard workers.  The job site was kept clean and orderly.  Everything they build is square and built to code.  David is aware of energy issues, and isn't in too much of a hurry to stop and discuss options with the client. They work well with supply companies and will work with you on any aspect of construction.  I plan on using them again, and a few other subcontractors on the jobsite said they would be contacting David for future jobs.  I also checked his references before hiring, and all of the contractors that used him spoke very highly of his work and work ethic.  I would strongly recommend hiring Beiler Construction."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Philipsburg, PA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
