"Devon came out to check our AC unit after it stopped working, and he quickly found the issue — just a simple switch in the electrical panel. He took the time to test the whole unit, made sure everything was running smoothly, and even scheduled our annual maintenance for next week to clean out the unit. He was thorough, respectful, and stayed to make sure everything was working correctly before he left. I really appreciated the great service!"

"Sadly no, I like Larry and he was highly recommended. He came out and looked things over and said he could put me in between some other bigger customers. We didn't quibble about the price. It was approved without any questions. He told us that he had actually purchased the unit and the ducting transition pieces. The problem was he always had some other more important customer and finally I was supposed to call back and did and could never reach him until I find that he went on vacation. After that the excuse was his wife was ill and I didn't want to push things and so right before winter he was going to come in and then he stopped all communication. Of course in the meantime we missed out on buying a New Old Stock unit and now will be settled with some of the newer stuff that doesn't last as long. The likelihood that we will get somebody here in time for the hot season is probably poor and of course there will be a price raise"

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Pierceton, IN

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
