"The technician replaced the dishwasher door cables/pulleys. This only took the tech about 10 minutes in total. The service performed cost $206. The pulleys/cable only cost about $25 online, so effectively this was about $150 for a 10 minute repair. The pricing was not fair, but I was anxious to have the repair completed. Customer service was quite good otherwise."

"Unfortunately not good. I had to put in a service call on three different occasions for the same appliance. Once in July, then again in August and in October. Each time I had to pay the service fee of $75.00. If it was repaired properly I would not have to continually call for repairs. However I do feel that this problem falls on the company that was contracted not Choice Home Warranty!"

"When I first contacted Eagle Appliance Repair to service our Maytag dishwasher, I was very pleased with the level of customer service provided by the rep on the phone. They were very responsive and able to schedule a site visit the next day for the lowest price estimate I had found out of several other repair companies. The next day, the service tech showed up at the wrong time and quoted us a higher repair bill than we anticipated. Nonetheless, it was still cheaper than a few other options and rather than paying for the service quote and hiring another company we went ahead with the repairs through Eagle Appliance. We wrote them a check for over $200 which cleared within days and were told our part would arrive and repair would be complete within 4-5 days. We waited almost a week and had to call the company after not hearing anything. We were then told the time to repair quote should have been 5-7 business days, that the service tech who gave us the quote was no longer with the company, and that our part had never been ordered! We were then told they would expedite the part order and someone would contact us in a few days. After another few days passed, we received a call from Eagle Appliance saying our part had mistakenly been delivered to the Dallas office rather than San Antonio and delivery would take another 3-4 days. We FINALLY were notified that the part was received and a technician would come out to repair our unit. Again, the tech showed up at the very last minute (4:45pm when he was supposed to be there between 12:00pm-5:00pm) and come to find out the original service technician had diagnosed the issue wrong so he had the wrong part! Fortunately, the service tech that came out was able to make some wiring modifications to our dishwasher to get it working again. What a mess! It took over 3 weeks to fix our dishwasher when we were originally quoted less than a week. So, long story short, customer service failed to follow-through with us during the process by communicating the status of our repair diligently; however, the final service tech who was sent out was able to repair the unit even though it was misdiagnosed and he was sent with the wrong part. I hope this is an uncommon issue, but needless to say we will not hire them again."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
