"I contacted Aluminum Company of NC to get an estimate for (3) new windows and siding on (3) dormers. The material arrived early and install was completed 1-2 months early. The installation team was professional and efficient. Explained everything they were doing and why. They also replaced water damaged wood needed to complete the install. They cleaned up the area around the home to where you didn't know they were here except to see the new windows and siding. Follow up by Cristy to close off on the project was welcome and she was able to show us how to operate the windows for cleaning, explained the warranty and replacement if ever needed. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs siding, windows, doors, etc."

"The whole thing went very nicely. The doors were ordered, we were told to expect installation within one month, but not to exceed two months. Within two weeks we received the call that the doors were in and when can we be home for the installation. Two days later the installers showed up, (Economy Installation was their name, I think) and voila! The doors are perfect. <br />"

"From the time if the initial estimate to the installation, everything went smoothly. I decided to change to a metal roof because I was renovating the room that has a low slope rubber roof and have had several leaks. I was not about to add insulation and a new ceiling and have to deal with a potential for leaks. Thus, I felt a metal roof would be the best option. Because I only have 2 X6 with no attic  I decided to add foam board insulation to the roof deck and Dave gave me a fair price. I'm glad I added the foam board to deck and it gives me extra pitch too. Dave upgraded the ice and snow membrane at no extra charge. The workers were great and they stayed late to ensure that the roof was sealed before they left because there was a chance of showers. Additionally, they sealed all of my roof penetrations on the rest of my house and  fixed some shingles had a previous leak without me asking at no charge! Wow what service. <br />"

"We're very happy with the work done by the Window Gang. They arrived promptly and quickly got to work, making sure to be careful with landscaping, screens, outdoor furniture, etc. They worked for several hours and everything looks great. We have a few patios and walkways that do not drain well, which was problem when we pressure-washed ourselves because of the amount of water used. The used a "scrubber" with minimal water to clean the surfaces and then did the final pressure wash and pushed off any residual water. Looks very professional. They carefully removed and reinstalled all of our window screens to wash the glass thoroughly. <br />"

"Paul came out and gave us an estimate providing all the information we needed and answering any questions I had.  I was quite impressed with Paul and while my gut said to proceed,  never having  replaced siding on a house prior to this, due diligence had us getting  two more estimates.   Ultimately we really did not need to. <br /> Job start to finish went quite well, despite a first day mishap where our kitchen garden window was damaged while the crew was removing the old siding.  Paul and company responded quickly and appropriately and took care of the window panel, replacing it within two weeks (had to be ordered).  Being a contractor myself, I know these things can happen and it is more about the response than the what, and the response was spot on! <br /> The crew did a good job keeping the site in order while working and upon finishing each day. <br /> Communication with both Paul as well as the crew was great. <br /> Love the finished product. <br /> I would use again as well as refer  without hesitance...and will. <br /> Thanks Paul!!! <br />"

"After a complete roof replacement by this company earlier in the week the gutter crew arrived when scheduled and with an excellent crew. <br /> <br /> Within 4 1/2 hours the crew did a complete removal of old gutters and replaced them with new seamless gutters made off the back of their truck. <br /> <br /> Excellent service and a complete cleanup. <br /> <br /> Very happy with the professionalism and excellent quality service from this company. Project manager J. Collins explained everything in detail and was on site for most of both projects. <br />"

"<p>Band repair was required due to termite damage prior to our purchasing the house last year. There was about 3' that needed to be removed and replaced. Mike replaced the eaten/chewed up wood with treated wood and built a support pier for the band with concrete. Mike also replaced two pier supports, that were precariously dry stacked, with proper concrete support piers properly cemented together as the NC Building code requires. They look as pretty as a support pier can look!  It is sad to note that the house inspector (prior to purchase) stated that dry stacking support piers were within NC Building code standards. Throughout my extensive research I have found that the inspector was wrong. Go figure...</p> <p>I cannot give you a play by play because I have no desire to go into the crawl space but I have attached what the rotted wood looks like and what the new support piers look like. </p> <p>R-19 insulation was properly installed in our house for the first time by Norbert and Mike in a very expeditious manner. I am looking forward to a much cheaper heating bill this winter.</p> <p>And Dennis took the opportunity to break a sweat when sledge hammering the ugly brick flower bed that more than likely caused the termites to call the house their home prior to us purchasing it. <br /> <br /></p> <p>As always, Dennis Kolenc and his crew have impressed me with the quality of their work, materials used, utilizing NC building codes, and of course, their professional, ethical and very humorous attitudes. I will highly recommend him to anyone in need of home repair or the construction of new buildings, decks, kennels, etc.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Pinehurst, NC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
