"Kyle is the best. Very friendly, and has completed some really tough jobs for me in the past. Today he replaced my water heater, and found a small gas leak the gas company couldn't find. Awesome, timely, professional work at fair prices. They always remember me also which is nice. Highly recommend."

"I requested replacing a full drain pipe system. When they came, they only fixed the one part that was leaking, not the whole drain. They told me it would cost significantly more to replace the full drain, even though when they came out to bid it, I was very explicit on wanting it all replaced. The leak is fixed, but they also used a white pipe while the rest of the piping was black. They even told me they saw reviews the picture before coming, and still brought and use white piping. So now it is very mismatched."

"Damion from Reddit Services was fantastic. He walked us through everything he was doing so there were no surprises (apart from our pipe access being buried in concrete by a previous owner). He was well prepared and professional. I highly recommend Reddi Service in general and if it's a pipe issue ask for Damion. "

"The sink had very thick and longtime build-up that was mostly clogging a big section of pipe and not able to be opened with a "snake". Several feet of pipe had to be removed and replaced. Once the occluded piece was removed, Kyle showed me the ends of the pipe after it was removed and why just trying to shift the caked in debris wouldn't work in this case. I appreciated him showing me (including some photos, as I have a crawl space) along with explaining so I had a better understanding. He was considerate in explanations of the work, wearing a mask, punctuality and in cleaning up after."

"Burhle Plumbing was recommended to me by my father, who had the same work done on his home.  Mr. Buhrle came to the house and provided a quote of $4,950 for the work.  I set appointments with three other plumbing companies to get competing bids and only one ever came out.  The rep from that company told me he was going to have to remove tile from the master bathroom that would have to be replaced.  I was really disappointed to hear that because I wasn't sure I'd be able to find matching tile.  That company never provided me a bid for the work.  Mr. Buhrle ended up replacing the water pipes to the master bathroom without damaging or removing any of the tile. <br /> I contacted Mr. Buhrle and he was able to schedule the work approximately 2 weeks later.  Mr. Buhrle arrived on the date and time he said he would, and he and his employee completed the work on schedule.  Both men were very friendly and polite.  There were a few things I wanted to ask Mr. Buhrle to do in addition to replacing the water pipes, however I forgot to mention them to him.  One of those things was to move the water line for the refrigerator closer to the wall because the hole and pipe that was there was pretty far away; causing my refrigerator to stick out farther than it should.  Mr. Buhrle was already finished in the kitchen by the time I remembered to mention something and I found out he had already done that.  He knew there was no benefit to having the pipe far away from the wall and fixed a problem I hadn't even asked about yet. <br /> Mr. Buhrle had to remove a utility sink from the wall in my basement to replace the pipes and left it out so the drywall contractors would have room to patch the hole that was cut in the wall.  Mr. Buhrle told me to contact him once the drywall work was complete so he could replace the sink.  Mr. Buhrle also installed a water heater overflow mechanism (I'm not sure what the industry term for this is), which he said was required by the city code.   <br /> I'm obviously not a professional plumber, but it seemed to me that Mr. Buhrle did more work than he had anticipated for the job. Additionally, the water heater overflow was not part of the quote and I was not charged extra for it; Mr. Buhrle honored the original quote for the job.   <br /> After I had the drywall replaced for the holes cut to replace the water pipes I contacted Buhrle Plumbing again.  Mr. Buhrle had already been paid for the work and he still came out within a week and reinstalled the utility sink.  I watched him replace it and noticed he brought in his own screws and was cutting them with a handsaw so they would fit.  I was curious why he hadn't used the original screws, so I asked him.  He told me the original screws were galvanized steel and since they were located in concrete beneath a sink he was replacing them with stainless steel screws so I wouldn't have to worry about rust.  I know this is a fairly minor detail, but it meant a lot to me.  The fact that he was spending money/resources he didn't have to, and was doing it to help me out without even mentioning it blew me away. <br /> I trust Mr. Buhrle, and he did quality work with quality materials to do the job that was asked of him.  I can't say enough good things about his business.  I marked price as "B", because I was unable to get any competing bids so I'm not sure how much other companies would have asked for.  I feel like the price for the job was fair, but for the quality it was very good. <br /> Thank you, Mr. Buhrle.  You'll be my first call when I need a plumber again. <br /> <br />"

"I had some plumbing work done by ANOTHER big company within the last year. Although the work this OTHER company did was satisfactory, the prices they charged were rediculous. But I was stuck because I needed to get the work done ASAP and I didn't have the time to get someone else out. I decided to give Taylor Plumbing Services a call this time when I had a shower drain leaking over my garage. I first attempted to look into replacing it myself. But for the life of me couldn't figure out how to remove the old drain. The house is 47 years old and the way they installed drains back then is way different than what YouTube was showing. I couldn't figure it out and didn't want to take a chance of getting into trouble not knowing for sure what I was doing. I'm glad I called a professional. Jason came out, and although I think it was a little more work than expected and took a couple different techniques, he was able to get the old drain out. He also replaced the leaky trap (it had a cap which was also leaking) and some of the ABS pipe. Jason was very professional, courteous and neat and made sure everything was working before he left. There is no way I would have been able to do what he did. When it came time for the bill I wasn't blown away as I was with the OTHER company I had out prior. It was very fair ... actually lower than I expected. I will definitely have them out again when plumbing issues arise and plan to spread the word of their business."

"When we started having problems with the flow on our Grohe faucet, we called the plumber we had used in the past. He told us that Grohe are difficult to fix and we should just replace it. I went to Pyramid plumbing supply to pick out a new faucet and they told me that there were a couple of things that could be causing the problem and both were relatively east to fix. They gave me John's number and said he worked almost exclusively on Grohe. I called John and he got back to me the next day and and set up an appointment for that evening. He showed up on time and had diagnosed the problem and installed the new rate coupler within 10 minutes. His rate was reasonable and in line with what we have paid in the past for plumbing services. I will be calling him in the future with my plumbing needs."

"Randy did an excellent job.  He is very efficient,  knowledgeable (he is a Master Plumber) and friendly.  He had a  fair <br /> price for the time he spent.  We asked him several plumbing questions unrelated to the work that he did and he was really helpful in answering them. We would very much recommend Randy Farris Plumbing. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Platte City, MO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
