"Itook my 2004 Toyota Camry XLE in for 3 estimates for this job, 2 of them to places to which I have had no qualms about the quality of their sevice. The first estimate was and quot;start $600and quot;. The second was for about $300, although they really were not sure what had to be done. <br /> Mark Hansen did not even give me an estimate. They just fixed it. The mechanic knew exactly what he was doing, and the owner was informative and helpful. Total cost: About $57. <br /> I cannot recommend this place highly enough. <br />"

"Country Propane is a great supplier for propane. We have a contract with them to keep filled. They are always prompt at filling our tanks (we have 2; 1 for house, 1 for shop). We've never had to remind them of a need to fill them. The pricing for the LP is very competitive as well. Thanks for the great service."

"I was concerned there was a serious problem.  Jason at Ace researched in great detail and called me with possible options to pursue.  We agreed upon a course of action.  While it has not immediately solved the ticking, Jason assured me there is not a serious problem in the engine.  He provided an engine cleaning treatment, topped off the transmission fluid, and did a fuel system cleaning as well.  Previously Ace replaced the exhaust on my truck as well.  They are extremely friendly and the shuttle service is a great benefit. <br />"

"I recently moved and needed the gas fireplace checked out. The technician who came out was able to work on my Heatilator fireplace; when other fireplace service companies were unable to assist. He cleaned the glass, lit the pilot and educated me on proper use."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Pleasantville, IA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
