"Installation went very well. The tech was knowledgeable and professional. Problem was when I received my cc bill. I was billed the $129 Angie's List fee which was to include TV wall mount (mount not include), connect all necessary video and basic audio, neatly dress wires, configure peripheral devices, and conceal in-wall wires. And I was billed $140.49 from HELLOTECH. I'm still trying to get the $140.49 charge reversed."

"I contacted Gregg at Smart Home Mojo as I found that he is one of the very few experts in his business that continually gets excellent five-star, impeccable reviews that contain detailed information from the customer in regards to their experience. From the moment I contacted Gregg, he was extremely responsive to my needs and I found him especially easy to communicate with. I explained that I was building a new home and I had limited time to determine what electronics I want and I needed to get the home pre-wired within about ten days (before insulation and drywall). Gregg and I did an initial and complete walk-through where I outlined some of the ideas I had we discussed my budget number for pre-wire, equipment and installation that I wanted to stay within. Gregg was especially helpful in regards to providing excellent recommendations regarding ethernet distribution throughout, A/V in multiple rooms with remote speakers and a solid ten-camera security NVR system; all installed and within budget. Once we agreed on a plan, Gregg and his team were on-site at our scheduled time to install all of the pre-wire. They completed the wiring portion of the project ahead of schedule; in just a couple of days. I am extremely happy with all of the pre-wire looking so neat and professionally installed. I certainly appreciated his many recommendations along the way. I am very much looking forward to Gregg completing the project when the home is completed and all of the equipment is installed and fine-tuned. It's a great feeling knowing that the remainder of the project will go just as smoothly as the pre-wire first portion. I very definitely recommend Gregg and Smart Home Mojo."

"From my first contact with him, Adam was professional and responsive. He made a site visit to the house, we reviewed the work I wanted to have done, we discussed the different ways it could be done, and he forwarded me his bid estimate to do the work shortly after he had been to the house. After reviewing his bid, and that of another person whom I had also asked to submit a bid, I decided to go with Adam. I made this decision because of Adam's manifest professionalism, and his overall manner both when he had been on-site and in our e-mail communication in follow-up to that site visit. Throughout this pre-work period he was courteous, consistent with his follow-through, and clear and direct in his communication.
Once he was on-site to do the work, it became clear to both of us that there were aspects to the work which were not as straightforward as both of us had anticipated. We discussed these things openly, agreed an approach to addressing them, and Adam set about executing the work in a slightly different way than he had originally anticipated. He made point to keep me briefed every step of the way as he progressed with the work and was always happy and ready to discuss with me questions which occurred to me as the work went forward. He asked me to review the work as he went along, and to advise him if there was anything about it which I found unsatisfactory. There wasn't. He said often, and I believed him when he said it, that it was important to him that I be pleased with the quality of the work.
I'm one of those people who don't really like having maintenance or contracting people in my home space. I always dread the thought of having my routine upended and disrupted to accommodate the needs of people who need to come in and do work inside the house that lasts more than an hour or two. Adam was in and out of the house consistently for a period of over three days, but he was the least intrusive and disruptive presence I could possibly imagine. It seemed important to him that as much as it were possible for it to be so, he would do his work and I could go about my own business with next to no inconvenience. I really welcomed this approach of his, and it is of a piece with the consideration he showed throughout all of my interaction with him.
The two aggregate floor surfaces now look great, better even than I had allowed myself to hope they would look after the work had been done, and, too, as an additional bonus, I now have first-hand experience of someone solid I can call on when other things inevitably will need to be done around the house. Probably like many people on Angie's list, I have had some very unpleasant experiences with handymen and/or contractors in the past; my experience with Adam, and Ron Can Do It, was the exact opposite.

"We selected Portland Electric to add a 240V circuit for a new hot tub. After inspecting our electrical service and panel, it was determined that to add the circuit the panel needed to be upgraded to comply with current electical code. None of the other bidders even bothered to mention this. I found this single thing the deciding of which contractor to select. The work went smoothly. Mark is a true professional. He was there every time he committed to. He was on time, very concerned about impacting our living space, did a great job on the panel replacement, even did sheetrock repair after the new panel was in."
