"It went great! They were a few minutes late--due to train and called me, which I very much appreciated. They came in and with canvas and plastic sheeting encased the entire area in the kitchen to keep the mess to a minimum. They were very polite and really hard workers. They never even stopped for lunch. They were careful to keep the door closed--as I could not find one of my cats and I was afraid he would get out. They removed the previous old light fixture and then patched the wall. I was asked where I wanted the placement of the four new lights and wow--just like that--four new holes were drilled and four new lights installed. They dry walled the entire area and not a seam shows. They ensured the lights go on from both switches. Clean up was done quickly and there was zero mess for me to clean up. After I had purchased this item on Angie's list--Mr. Dove had emailed me with a list of questions about the light fixture and informed me about the process and the time it would take. I've had several house repairs/changes done in the past--this light fixture replacement was by far--the best, quickest and professional job I've ever has done. "We needed a misting system to help cool our patio, since we had our son's 3rd birthday party happening a week later. We had John give us an estimate for approximate 120' run of misting system pipe. He told us how he would install the system to make sure it blending into the house and patio cover. He also told us the best way to hook the water to the misting system and had a great recommendation on a plumbing to do the work. Once we decided on the price, he told us he could complete the system in a single day. On the day we selected, he showed up 15 minutes before the scheduled time. He also managed the plumber who hooked it into our existing water line. When I returned home after 8 hours, the whole system was installed and hooked up to the water line. The work was extremely professional. It blended so well into the house I almost didn't notice that we had a misting system. As for the water line connection, he told me how the plumber was going to just install it with the shortest run, but it would be extremely difficult to turn the system on/off, plus cleaning out the filter would be an extreme chore. John told the guy how to place everything so we had an easy time turning it on/off and changing the filter. He came back 2 days later to pressure test the whole system and make sure everything was working correctly. We used it during our son's party and it was AMAZING. The temperature was 100 that day but under our patio it felt about 80 degrees. Everyone was comfortable. A couple days after the party, John called to see how the system worked.
John is very detailed oriented and there to make sure the customer is happy. It was a pleasure working with him and I will work with him for any future repairs.

"The company is in California and it took many calls to get the job coordinated with someone in my area.  I think that the company is more like a reference company. They seem to have a list of providers and then they coordinate the deal with someone in your area.
 The job was done fairly well. I paid for 200 sq ft and when the technician arrived he was disappointed that I did not want any more done.  I only wanted half of my deck washed as I was tearing down the other half. I also did not want railings done as I was getting new ones made. It is obvious that the deal is the hook and the hope is that you will have to buy a whole lot more when the technician arrives.
 My only complaint is that the splatter ended up on the windows of my house and no attempt was made to protect the windows or clean them afterwards.
The technician was courteous and the deck looked much better after he left. So I was satisfied with the job done, just find out how much more you would have to pay if you need more than the deal offers.

"Pete was very good fixing the problem. The pull chain broke off inside the unit. I took it apart and tried to fix it myself, but was not able to get to the unit with the chain....so much for being a home mechanic! Pete made one short stop here to get the unit apart. He didn't have a replacement part with him, and to save time I went to Fan Diego store for the replacement, and he installed it on another visit a few days later. Problem solved. He is very friendly and worked well. I am having him back soon to repair another ceiling fan that has quit working.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
