"Very hard to initially schedule a time or receive call backs but once the time was set up, everything went very well. They had limited product selection but we were able to do all windows but one and the coverings came in much ahead of schedule and installation was very quick and well done. Installation and cordless shades were no upcharge which kept the price down quite a bit."

"Contacted provider via Angie's List and they promptly responded and was able to provide quote via email based off of my measurements and photos. We had clear UV film installed on a few windows in our home that the blinds did not cover. The goal was to avoid UV fading inside the home. Nate came out and did our install. Apparently, the install was much more difficult than initially estimated, but he was able to complete the job and it looks great. <br />"

"Great service and terrific product! I had a damaged patio slider screen and four odd-sized crank-out windows whose screens were missing since I purchased the town home. From my initial contact with Screenman's telephone agent Nathalie through the work done by Jose and Rich, this was a great experience! Nathalie asked great questions and had me send photos of the small windows. She guided me as to my frame color choices (what we selected blends beautifully) and offered an upgrade to "view mesh" screen for my patio slider since it looks out onto my garden. Nothing high-pressure and I'm glad I upgraded. Jose and Rich called to say they were arriving a bit early and patiently waited until I could get home from work. After confirming the measurements (and helping me move a couple plants from the bathroom tub deck where two of the windows were) they produced and installed the screens amazingly fast with minimal disruption. They were here just under an hour! The screens look really good; Jose and Rich recommended a clip frame style which was different from what I had ordered on the phone - it looks better and was even more economical; that is true customer-centered service. It looks like Rich even cleaned the track for my patio slider screen. I highly recommend Screenman. The price was worth it for the convenience (custom screens made AT YOUR HOUSE!) and the quality and appearance of the product."

"Petr and Andy were great to work with and we would happily contract with Window Fellas again! Petr was very careful during the ordering process and followed up with us to clarify and make sure all the measurements were correct. Andy was very helpful and was very patient with my questions and requests throughout the install. He was careful to match the window trim to the other units in our townhome. I mentioned to Andy that we had out-of-town guests coming the day he was planning to finish the installation - he worked hard to finish the project a day early so we had a little breathing room. We had one problem with a small gouge in one unit that we discovered after the installation. Andy came out the next day to look at it and the new unit came just a couple weeks later and was quickly replaced. Nick in the office was also very helpful - we visited the showroom and he helped with our many questions in person and via email. We found this company thru the Milgard website. We got bids from 4 other companies. One company tried to upsell us. Another was thousands more. Another lied about upcoming price increases to get us to quickly sign. Window Fellas is a small company that we have had a good experience with in terms of being straightforward, honest, and having its own small install team. We are very happy with our new windows and recommend Window Fellas!"

"King County Window and glass was awesome! Not only was their quote the lowest their installers were phenomenal. They were professional, yet friendly. Worked around our busy morning trying to get everyone out of the house. They were very nice to our 16mo and 3 year old kids. Also aside from leaving behind beautiful new windows you can't tell at all any work was done. They cleaned up everything related to their work. These guys were so nice and friendly I would invite them over to our house to watch a Seahawks game."

"The good part:  Clear Image was one of the few who responded to our call for service.  It took them a while to come out and measure, so service was not right away. Fortunately, the glass was not broken all the way through, so we could wait until they had time for us.  They originally gave us a quote of $520 or so (I don't have the paper in front of me as I write this.) Our insurance was willing to cover $500. <br /> The not-so-good part:  It took them much longer to come out for the repair than we expected, and they ended up charging us over $800 because of the wood frame, which they didn't explain to us the first time.  the quality of work was good, however, so I think overall,. <br />"

"We highly recommend Window-ology. We had several companies come out to give us options and estimates. Window-ology really listened to what we wanted and came up with an excellent solution. The price was competitive, and we would rate as excellent value. Installation went quickly and was done well. All in all, if you are looking for a company that has the experience and customer service skills to meet your needs, we highly recommend Window-ology."

"We had a total of five aging (~19 years) / failed double-pane assemblies replaced in our house. The price was far less than replacing the entire windows, as well as far less intrusive. Prompt response to request for a quote. Very quick turnaround once an order was place. I am very pleased with these folks."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Poulsbo, WA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
